I see that the Japanese artist on Youtube that you mentioned is based in the US. Maybe his clientele would be different in Japan? I saw a blog posting where a young woman visiting Japan advised other visitors to be careful about where they showed their tattoos.

We visited poet Robert Frost's house near Franconia, in the Green Mountains. The house's mailbox still has the word 'Frost' written on it! We were in New Hampshire just as the New England fall was looking splendid!

Great verse, there! Good indeed to remember the "It is finished", said by the suffering Saviour on the Cross. He was indeed once offered; He perfectly accomplished once sacrifice (Hebrews chapters 9 and 10).

A lot of men - and women - do indeed have it done, without regrets. I guess your grandchildren - if they eventually want any - will get theirs for entirely their own reasons, but I reckon they won't forget their grandfather's tattoos, or his various stories about them, either. :)

Isaiah 48.10: "I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction". Yes, this is encouraging, because by faith we learn that what matters is that we are chosen, rather than the fact that we may be greatly afflicted.

We were away; got back yesterday. I think Philippians also is a great Epistle for working through the theme of of joy in suffering.

What I don't like about Heathrow Airport and its relationship with British Airways is that if there are delays, then British Airways appear to be given priority by air traffic control, while an airline such as Turkmenistan Airlines is apparently regularly bumped to the end. It's not a level...
