Hello again St. SteVen, have you ever told him that it bothers you and why, and also asked him to explain why he uses the terminology? It might be interesting to find out :) I'm sure that you're correct about that, but interestingly, I've never heard anyone make that claim before (that God sat...

Hello St. SteVen, the following is a recent (2018), well-done movie/documentary on this topic, with a well-known cast of theologians, pastors, apologists, historians and linguists. Here is both the trailer and the movie, both of which can be watched for free. BTW, the cinematography is...

Apparently not, PTL .. e.g. Matthew 1:21, 5:43-48; Romans 5:8. In fact, as soon as our first parents sinned in the Garden the Lord immediately began making a way for both them (our progenitors) and for all of us (their progeny) to be redeemed (e.g. Genesis 3:21). He, in point of fact, chose to...

Hi Hobie, sadly, I don't think that we are much of a mystery to our common enemy :( After all, he was successful with us right out of the starting gate (remember what happened to our, at that point unfallen, progenitors in the Garden), and I think that he continues to use the same, basic ploy...

Hello @St. SteVen, I remember being taught that the "hot" and "cold" water spoken of in Revelation 3 did not have the same meaning to those living in the 1st Century as they do to us today (and that makes sense when you consider the fact that the Lord Jesus wished that the people in the...

Hello again @Haruto2024, I apologize for assuming that you are a Christian/not noticing that you are agnostic instead before posting what I did to you above (had I noticed, I would have said most of the same things to you, but I would have said them in a slightly different way that I believe...

Hello Haruto2024, first off, welcome to CB :) You are correct, we all have spirits, but many of the passages in the Bible (like the opening passage of John 3) that speak of being born of spirit are actually referring to being born of ~the~ Spirit (IOW, of the Holy Spirit). As others have...

I'm very sorry to hear this, especially because I have the same problem and know what you are going through (a blood test showed that I have anemia). It appears to be a dietary issue (caused by the radical changes that I made to my diet a few years ago) that I am working through now by 1. adding...

Hello ElieG12, we know that the Lord's resurrection was a physical/bodily one (the tomb was empty, yes?), so this seems pretty different from angels making temporary appearances to us in the form of human beings (after all, while He came from Heaven, He was also born here, just like we are)...

Hello again Wrangler, sadly, I was in a rush to finish and I made a blind post (having barely skimmed your thread before posting what I did), and I apologize for doing so (as I've now seen that most of what I wrote had already been discussed by others, just as you said). So, I will move on & try...

Hello Wrangler, I admit that I would like to know more about this time as well, but I trust that the Lord (who loves us and always wants the very best for us) has given us ~exactly~ what we need to know from this time in history, no more, no less, just like He always does, yes .. e.g...

Hello Saint of Light, the Lord Jesus came here and died that horrible death on the Cross in our stead to save us from our sins (e.g. Matthew 1:21), not to give us a license to continue in our sins/sinful lifestyles, and/or to sin even more! We know that "agapē [Godly love] does not rejoice in...

Hello Tony, since there a number of different defintions of Sola Scriptura floating about, please let us know how you define it. Thanks :) Also, since we are already on the topic of definitions, what is Moses' Seat, and why did the Lord tell the people to do and observe whatever they tell you...

Hello again Tony, I think that this fairly modern saying/idiom/retort, "what does that have to do with the price of tea in China", seems particularly apropos in this case, because it actually serves two purposes (first as a simple and to the point reply, but also as another analogy, of sorts, to...

Hi Tony, I finally have the time to reply to your last post to me, and I apologize for taking so long to do so! I will start out in a bit of an unusual way (for me anyway) with an analogy (of sorts), which I am hoping will make sense to you (we shall see ;)). So here we go. If I said to you...

Hello Tony, why do you single out the "female citizens" of Sodom as the ones who were specially at fault for committing the others sins of Sodom (mentioned in Ezekiel 16:49), the sins from which the far more detestable sins (abominations) sprung? If that's what v49's "daughters" is actually...
