Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

I am not "reinterpreting" but explaining. The point is--saved or not...according to John--we/us have sin. Paul then explains and speaks of the flesh and spirit being two different bodies, saying, "There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body" and " what you sow, you do not sow that...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

Nothing in those verses say anything about the old man and the born again, either. But I was explaining how it all fits together. Those born again of the spirit of God still reside in the old man of flesh. You are a man of flesh aren't you...or am I talking only to a spirit? Scripture...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

You misunderstand (yes Matthew 22:29). "We who are alive and remain" are alive inwardly ("within") and yet remain in the flesh and in this world until the passing of our old body of flesh. Therefore, Paul spoke of "another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind"--"both at the...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

    See...I told you, you didn't understand--because--yes, I did explain.

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

To whom are you referring, the old man of flesh, or the new man of the spirit of God?

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

You are doing it again--assuming and believing according to your own understanding, and are in error in ways you apparently do not even understand. Peter was wrong, and fell short of his walk with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. That is not hypocrisy, and it is not sin...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

No...that is not what John said. That is a biblical impossibility, an oxymoron. Even John clarified that. You are adding to it, leaning on your own understanding.

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

You apparently didn't read all of my post--because I explained that.

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

Calling Jesus Lord does not constitute being saved. With such little understanding and knowledge--you should not be commenting at all, but by commandment of God, as it is written, you should "keep silent in church."

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

I don't take my orders from you. And your interpretation and understanding--that's on you.

What we are now suppose to be doing--Jesus repeated over and over...

You are of no authority to say--yet you have said much, not only against me, but against Him who sent me. As for me, I do not answer to you--but you will answer for every word.

What we are now suppose to be doing--Jesus repeated over and over...

I was not referring to your salvation--nor was the verse I quoted--but referring to what you are missing and being cut out of. But because you don't actually know and understand--not even that one verse--you turn to making accusations and name calling (again.)

What we are now suppose to be doing--Jesus repeated over and over...

What you believe, is not the measure of my salvation (thank you very much).

What we are now suppose to be doing--Jesus repeated over and over...

First you say I didn't cite any errors within the church, then you say, just two. Here in two sentences you show yourself to be either blind or a liar. Meanwhile, the errors within the early church all center on "2 issues." Which you say I supplied already. And again, you show yourself as...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

John was preach/teaching and proclaiming what is true, saying "we" and "us" because he is speaking at a time when many were saved, but also to many who were not yet saved--which is also true for anyone reading the words even today. Which then is confirmed by him also saying "if" (these things...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

Yes, John was speaking to some who were born again. But he is not referring of the new body born of the spirit of God, but speaking of the that new body still carrying the old body of sin, that they should to should own that sin and bring it under subjection of their new spirit body, as Paul...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

You show here above just the opposite of what you claim... For John said, "If" and "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins"--meaning he speaks of those not forgiven--unsaved.

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

Indeed, there are many here who say "My lord delays his coming" with their someday, future doctrines. Which do not pass the given test in 1 John 4:1 saying not to believe every spirit "but test the spirits, whether they are of God."

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

That is a poor translation. "I myself", most commonly refers to another (third person). In other words, Paul was actually referring to his old man making his new man look bad, like someone yet lost, a castaway.

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

You can't reconcile all that with all scripture, namely, this: 1 John 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. What you are not accounting for, is that one born again of the spirit of God--is not the old man...
