I believe mankind is fallen and our flesh is corrupted. But a "sin nature"? I wonder about that. Which Scriptures mention a "sin nature"? If we have a sin nature, doesn't that mean a similar thing as total depravity?

I agree with your definition of sin. I no longer believe that sin is a default state of existence (total depravity). It's a conscious choice we participate in.

Very good observation!

Jesus can give us victory over sin when we continue in His Word and keep our minds on things above. This is how we walk in the spirit. I was addicted to pornography. I would look every other day. I heard a simple method to help. Read 1 John, James, and 1 Peter out loud so you can hear it in...

Every sentence wasn't meant to be a condition. But since you conceded two, I proved my statement: salvation has conditions. No one who is a slave to sin will remain in the Kingdom. But no, that doesn't mean were all toast. We are supposed to die to sin and become slaves of righteousness. With...

I also never said Pastoring isn't work. It is. Ministry is hard work. But Jesus never charged for healing or teaching. It was a service. Financing missionary work is not the same as the modern tithe system to pay a pastor's salary. Businesses are not service. A church cannot be both a...

Salvation is a covenant. There are two parties involved in a covenant. God does His part, fulfilling His promises. We have a part to play too. JMany theologians want to make humans completely passive when it comes to salvation. But staying in sin and claiming Jesus paid it all and its alright...

Good points

I never said they only have to settle for just food and water. They can work just like anyone else if they want more than that. None of the new testament disciples or apostles took a salary based off a church tithe. They never taught anyone else to either. That is the issue I take. If a pastor...

Jesus’ sacrifice was enough to be propitiation for the whole world (1 John 2:22). Initially, we didn’t have to do anything to get salvation because it was a free gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). All we had to do was believe in Jesus’ resurrection in our hearts and confess him in our mouths...

This is food and water.

Yes. Salvation has conditions.

Very cool! I only know of two ministers that preach and work.

It is so good to see you posting!!!!

I thought about this some more. Forgive me for rambling... The truth is, it's difficult for anyone (not just dogmatic Christians) of any strong opinion to be respectful of those they disagree with. Especially me. My initial instinct was to get really really huffy at you. Its easy to forget...

You may just laugh again but... I really wish that you had addressed more of the scriptures and substance of what I posted in your reply to me. Ive noticed you take issue with Christians who are dogmatic and disrespectful to those who don't agree with them. You may not agree with what I said...

Today I slept in and didn't cook breakfast. After initially caring for Naomi when she woke up,I fell back asleep and Elijah took over till PopPop got her for their church. When I woke up he was gone. I called. He went to pick up food. I apologized for not cooking again and he was so gentle. He...

I hope I can go back and summarize the main points of this video.
