The peace that surpasses all understanding. Why does it surpass understanding? Is it because his peace does not follow the situation? Have you ever been very depressed about something but still have Joy? What for most would be a contradiction of emotions, but thanks to the Holy Spirit it is...

Update your profile. You need to specify if your Christian again.

How far should that freedom go? I think that freedom should be to hold non-essential doctrines and to serve God in the way you see fit. The top down organization of the RCC, as oppressive as that can be I find more palatable than a democratic one. It disgusts me to see parliamentary...

I don't mind taking meds to help the body cure an acute condition. However if something is chronic should you take meds for it indefinitely?

Welcome Grams! Thanks for making an introduction. I remember seeing some of your posts.

They aren't magic and don't even need to be spoken aloud. The reason is to make clear your willingness for the Holy Spirit to take up residence. The Lord is willing (2 Peter 3:9), so the problem is always going to be us. James 1:6-8 "6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt...

Knowledge that is not applied is of no benefit to anyone. Suppose you learn some names for God that have been used over history, and catalog some of the things hes done. Its like how an archaeologist tries to piece together the daily life of times long past by looking at bones and shards of...

I agree about God's timelessness, which is why I mention the book of life. He knows the result of the judgement day in advance. So if people die because God has to judge them when he sees them, those written in the book would make it. Though before the cross they might have needed to actually...

And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord , so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17 NIV

Revelation 14:6-7 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who...
