    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Buh-lasphemy You can disregard the Sabbath all you want, but claiming that Christ's blood covers your willful sin is gut-wrenching. You fail to realize that presenting this the way you do is doing exactly what you accuse (wrongly) Sabbath-keepers of doing.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Come on, Baby---Let's do the twist! Come on, Bay-ee-bay---Let's do the twist! When have I once spoken of my own glory? All I have done is testify to what the Bible says.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

To deny the status of the Sabbath as a moral imperative you have to rationalize. It's really that simple: RATIONALIZATION, and that's all you're going to see here. "We know what the Bible says, and we're not going to do it!"

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

You'll have to scratch the 7th day bit off of your lovely tablets. You haven't explained anything, you've simply rationalized it. There's a difference.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

The reiteration of the commandments in the NT reduces all of this to absolute Buffalo bagels.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

I'm not sure there's any point in answering these questions that seem to be thinly-veiled mockery. You know that I don't equate ceremonial law with moral law, and you know that I include all ten commandments in that designation. That doesn't make me a defective. I'm just old-fashioned. I can't...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

John 15:10 KJV: If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. So testimonies are glory-seeking? Scripture twisting abounds.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, male nor female, etc. We are all one in Christ Jesus. He gave plenty of instruction and examples on Sabbath-keeping in the Gospels. The 3rd commandment is not instructed in the NT. Why do we turn a blind eye to these things? It can be done anywhere. And none of...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

By the fringe, maybe, but it is not the policy of the majority of Sabbath-keepers, and portraying that it is is bearing false witness. I would if I were a Jew living 2000+ years ago. And what say we leave my family out of this? The meaningful spiritual reality of household hygiene? How do you...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

How utterly ridiculous! No one has ever kept the Sabbath perfectly throughout their whole life, except Jesus, regardless of your obsession with Matthew 12. This is like saying if someone has ever had a malicious thought, they cannot but be considered any other than a murderer. What was Christ's...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Matthew 5:19 KJV: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. James 2:10 KJV: For whosoever shall...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

You can't see what I was referring to in the NT. I was not referring to the law, in general, but to the Sabbath, in particular. :)

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Trouble is, zoning in on a verse or a single inspired writer causes confusion (literally no one admits that Paul writes things that are hard to understand-- 2 Peter 3:16). Basically there are two gospels out there: Babylonian confusion; and the Everlasting Gospel, which, even a little child can...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

What happened is that in the mid-20th century, evangelical scholars finally realized that there is no scriptural foundation for Sunday-sacredness so, rather than reform by keeping the genuine Sabbath, they devised a plan to disavow the law entirely. It took a while to catch on, but it is now...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

I think the worst is over. :)

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Are you still after the Sabbath? ;):p

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

I actually wrote a longer post, to begin with, but I didn't want to cross over into unkindness so I truncated it. But I will say it was along the very same lines that you state here. One has to be able to pull up the right list of prejudices and genetic fallacies, you know. ;)

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Because the Sabbath wasn't an issue at that time. It was understood that it was every bit a part of God's law as were the other nine commandments. The Jews (the first Christians) were very zealous for the Sabbath. If people were going around trying to bring it down, we'd have a full report of...
