Why I don't believe in a pretrib rapture

This is what a coma is: A coma is a deep state of prolonged unconsciousness in which a person cannot be awakened, fails to respond normally to painful stimuli, light, or sound, lacks a normal sleep-wake cycle and does not initiate voluntary actions.[1] The person may experience respiratory and...

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

I was just going to put a LIKE but then I read the last sentence. Later.

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

Right! But YOU don't do that. You ADD to scripture to twist it to make it say what YOU want it to say. Must leave for a while. Later. 1 John 2:19 Did you study up on what John meant? If not, I really am not going to discuss that one verse. Happy to discuss any other verser when I get back...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

Agreed ! (you answered your own question!).

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

Jesus was more direct. He plainly stated that we are to obey and love God. He spoke about HOW we are to be obeying and how we are to behave. Jesus didn't speak about being born again and faith only and all this that we hear nowadays. He wanted us to be "perfect" as our Father in heaven is...

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

God WILL rule over the earth. But not right now. Who do YOU believe is the head of the Body of Christ? Is the Body of Christ the Kingdom of God on earth?

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

The Kingdom of God is on earth,,,right now. The two terms can be used interchangeably... Kingdom of God Kingdom of Heaven (usually Kingdom of Heaven refers to heaven) Matthew 4:17 "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Do you believe that nothing like heaven existed until Jesus said...

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

It's really something to behold.... Christians that know nothing of church history. Please don't take my word for it: Please study on what 1 John 2:19 is referring to. It is referring to gnostics that had entered the church... it has nothing to do with believers..it has to do with gnostics...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

The other member, @PS95 is not reading anything in to the text at hand. It is YOU that is reading there what does not exist there. Those that believe in OSAS read into texts what they want to believe,,, and not what it states. 2 Timothy 2:12-13 12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

Thanks! It's encouraging. I agree to all of the above. The civil and ceremonial laws have been abolished. The Moral Law will never be abolished. (the commandments) Some of Paul's writings do sound as if faith and grace is all we need.... But why would these same persons not also accept what...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

I have to agree. If there is conflict in the NT,,,it becomes useless. Jesus did speak in a way that was different from Paul, but they did not conflict.

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

I'm sure we'll meet up again. For now...it'll have to end here. BTW, my name is not Grace. I was referring to God's grace. Most refer to me as GG or if you like a real name, it's Fran.

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

I absolutely agree that when there's ANY question...we put what Jesus said first. There are some members that seem to think that Paul is easier on believers than Jesus is...so they tend to quote only him and never Jesus. I know what the differences are LoveYeshua.... I believe that if we read...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

What do you mean "Whatever"?? I'm waiting for proof that the CC teaches that Mary needs to quiet down an angry God. Blaspheming God should not be passed over. Please stop blaspheming God... and Supply the source for your incorrect statement about the CC.

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

The Kingdom of heaven always means heaven. The Kingdom of God could mean the Kingdom that Jesus meant to establish on earth or heaven...it depends on the context. The Kingdom of God is a spiritual Kingdom to which all believers belong... and it will spill into a real Kingdom...an earth made...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

The above verifies what I stated yesterday. Paul is the person that gathered all the information and presented a theological study of Jesus, His death, the cross, salvation, etc. He may call it HIS gospel, but it's what all the writers taught. Jesus and Paul did not teach differently. You...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

Aunty Jane....studying the bible IS studying theology. Theology just means the study of God. And, yes, some post scripture they don't really understand. This is why I like to discuss one verse at a time... but members are not likely to do this, so it's always verse volley ball.

Only Those Who Do the Will of God Will Enter the Kingdom

1 Cor 13 is YOUR verse. I wanted to know what verse I posted that you did not agree. But no matter,,, there seems to be a communication gap here so better to end this conversation. You say that Faith and §Works take a back seat to love. I said that even atheists can do works out of love. Are...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

I'd like to add that Jesus kept everything very simple and Paul complicated theology... However they did teach the same but in different ways and there is no conflict as some might say.
