"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

You asked what I believe Christ came for. Is that on-topic? I was just following your lead. :)

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Peter spent 3 years walking and talking with the Lord of Glory and never had a conversion experience? Absolutely impossible. People don't "receive salvation" upon conversion. Nowhere in the Bible is this taught. Matthew 24:13 KJV: But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved...

Sanctification is the work of a lifetime, my friend. :) 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God's word has literal, creative power. But it...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

I don't believe Peter had any "salvation" to lose. I don't believe in "salvation" as a condition or state of being, as it is used in evangelical circles today. I'm mainly concerned with knowing God Whom to know is life eternal, which always begins today, and really kicks into high gear at His...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Thanks. Do you presume that Christ came for only one purpose? Believe it or not, I'm not trying to be smart, either. :)

Still sounds like dispensationalism. Also a distinction without a difference, maybe? :):p

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

That's nice, but I still don't know where in the Bible it says the "it" that was finished refers to the complete Atonement process.

I guess we don't have to answer each other's questions if you don't want to.

The "doctrines of the body of Christ?" I thought that all Scripture is inspired of God and is profitable for doctrine, even in the age of the early church when there was no New Testament.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Did Christ fail Peter? Is it our own faith that saves us? :)

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Well, since I have no idea what "it" is, you're welcome. I know this much: God's way is in the Sanctuary: Psalm 77:13 KJV: Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? And in it, the first article of furniture I see upon entering is the altar of burnt offering. I...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

This is what is called "a distinction without a difference." It is a logical fallacy. If a gift is given that cannot be returned, the recipient is forced to heep it. Conversion does not cause the will to be surrendered permanently.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Evidently, He forces us to keep it once it is given.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Uppercase emphasis does not indicate truth, either.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Why ascribe thoughts and ideas to @Renniks when all @Renniks did was quote Scripture? The verses do not describe a "saved" person. The Bible does not teach that being saved is a condition or state of being at all.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

I was taught this throughout my entire childhood. It's what I like I like to call "righteousness by human sincerity" which is not at all like righteousness by faith and certainly provides no assurance of salvation. Eternal security is largely a counterbalance to another false doctrine called...
