    Always hope in our Father.

    Today there may be a storm that’s roaring in our life, and we may feel like we might be swept away in a flood of anxiety and heartache. Friend, no matter what we face, nothing and no one can tear us from our Father’s hand. When it comes to His children, God’s touch is more than a...

    The first century Gifts of the Spirit VS Scripture today;

    Okay..I have watched all the back and forth between you and others re Calvin etc etc So, I do not believe as 'they' say Calvin believed ( so often the name used for a Denom today is not much as it was first preached ...as with John Wesley etc ) I do believe that I was chosen 'in Him' back...

    The first century Gifts of the Spirit VS Scripture today;

    Okay Dave, answer me this...( I can see why we have so many denominations) How come we can all read the same bible yet come away with very different concepts of what it is saying? We all filter what we read through our already coloured belief system...if not , we would all see the same thing...

    The first century Gifts of the Spirit VS Scripture today;

    Not so. The darken glass was not the OT. Paul wrote this in the NT It became the NT If anyone saw Jesus regularly 'face to face' it was Paul...if anyone had a 'full revelation of Jesus Christ' it was PAUL!! That was his teaching ... Yet Paul wrote :- 1 Cor. 13 "But WHEN that which is...

    The Gift of Tongues: its General Availability, Purpose, and Power

    Oh Dave, whatever you say... ....and what you say is repetitive and unconvincing. :oops:

    Is having Faith in the gospel considered a "work"?

    Well, is love "work"? If you have kids, do you have to work at loving them? ( not when they are being naughty, but when you look at them asleep in bed :)) The night I came to Jesus, came to the cross, got saved, whatever phrase you use... It was when I heard the preaching of the cross I saw...

    The Gift of Tongues: its General Availability, Purpose, and Power

    You have said this often Dave...why? Where does it say that? I have not met any one who "knows what they are saying".... That is why we speak in tongues in the service and the member with the gift of interpretation then speaks it out for the assembly. Every joint supplying. In private we pray...

    The Gift of Tongues: its General Availability, Purpose, and Power

    Nail right on the head!! Agree. God is a gentleman, He pushed nothing upon anyone. We seek the Father and all that He has He will give willingly. Our eye is on the Giver, not the gift.

    The Upward Path

    Before God made the decision to create the world, He made the decision to love you and “bring you to Himself through Jesus” Ephesians 1:5. The grace of Jesus is the bridge that brings you to God and makes a place for you in God’s heart. You are saved by grace, sustained by grace, and...

    The Gift of Tongues: its General Availability, Purpose, and Power

    That is not clever. Any fool can seek out 'off the wall' extremist articles and post them. So , because you can't 'argue your own point' you have to go and find something horrid to back up your own position. Shame on you. Very cowardly. Just a lot of silly fear-mongering. o_O

    What does "walk worthy of God" mean?

    I'm very sorry that you got miffed-off. :oops: The thing is you seemed to get annoyed when people didn't see things as you see them. Hey, even my husband and myself enjoy a good old argument about certain scriptures from time to time.. If we all agreed there would be nothing left to...

    What does "walk worthy of God" mean?

    I think we will just have to agree that we do not see things the same. But thats okay. Dave L and I don't see eye to eye , but we are still good friends. You say here "I don't want to see people going to Hell." You obviously believe ( like many others) that carnal Christians will end up in...

    What's the weather like where you are?

    I can look out of my window and see lots of snow on the tops of the mountains Pretty when the sun shines on them. :)

    What's the weather like where you are?

    Today a bit chilly here...but no more falling snow. But we do now have lots of snow on the ground. ( not roads) YES, hoping that this brings the "spring flowers" :)

    What does "walk worthy of God" mean?

    Paul forever the teacher , tells us the 'how' of things. He said - "If you walk in the Spirit you won't fulfill the lusts of the flesh." Advice , and wisdom of how to avoid the pitfalls.....but not a command. I am trying to think of any place where Paul did anything other than Teach the...

    What is God doing in your life right now?

    @Dave L I enjoy all of your testimonies of God goodness and answers to prayer. They are great encouragement to live our life 'looking for' the hand of God in even the smallest of details. "Despise not the day of small things "...which really to the Christian are BIG things!! Praise God!

    What does "walk worthy of God" mean?

    @Hidden In Him Paul wrote desire to spur on the Church. He wrote to the mature.. "Hold the vision", 'run the race', 'see the Goal'...'reach for the Prize..' ( Christ the Prize) Why are you concerned with those who may fall back? Are you questioning us here because you feel that we are...

    What does "walk worthy of God" mean?

    I already answered that earlier. = He loses his reward, his position in the kingdom as a good and faithful servant being overseer of this that or the other... as Abraham, Moses, Peter Paul and such like. ...he does not lose his salvation. Obviously ..going by your responses , you believe he...
