Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

Jde 1:22-23 And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

The bible says to save some by fear and others by compassion. Nevertheless how many believed and heeded Noah's fair warnings of the coming flood, given in love (whether through fear or compassion), and got on board the ark of salvation? The flood in Noah's time is a picture of the coming...

Will Trump seek asylum in Israel and Build the 3rd Temple?

    Satan's kingdom divided against itself.

Does Christian Universalism sidestep the justice of God?

Behold the goodness and the severity of God. The wages of sin is death. Fear Him who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell/hades. Just look around the world my friend at all the suffering that takes place under the rule of a sovereign God. And how about all the chastisements and...

    Universalism is a dangerous doctrine

Amen.....Ezekiel 18 is a witness of this truth and edifying to read and be reminded. And the whole book of Jude also. It's such a deception not to take the clear warnings of scripture seriously....written for our good.....we need them. God is not mocked. I pray that those who need to will...

    Universalism is a dangerous doctrine

Jhn 6:47-65 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which...

    Universalism is a dangerous doctrine

Just butting into this thread. Since the wrath of God abides on the unbelieving already and the bible also says the whole world lies under the wrath of God, so it makes sense that saving a soul means pulling them out of the fire/wrath that they are already in, as well.

    Apostasy

Amen. In a nutshell this seems to be from man taking the place of Christ and the people who love to have it so...essentially worship of man and personalities etc, rather than the worship of our invisible Head, Christ Jesus. (manifestation of flesh vs. spirit in other words is how I think of...

    Apostasy

It was pointed out to me by someone actually. :) I thought the OP had some good insights too and is at very least on the right track. But maybe there is more that can be said as well to pinpoint things more. Nobody has all the answers I think, so it's good to share and discuss what we each...

    Apostasy

Just want to mention some things that came to mind with your comments if I may. Agree that probably Judas did have personal ambition/wealth in mind with regard to the coming kingdom, which he was probably seeing/understanding in a fleshly way. It rings true. Also, I have heard it suggested...

    Apostasy

    Yes, thank you!

    Apostasy

Amen brother. Hope this isn't too far off topic, but I see a lot of parallels between Catholicism and Judaism. The people know about God but do not know Him personally and so are seeking to establish their own righteousness. Similarities even in Catholic rituals with temple...

    Apostasy

Unfortunately yes it does...that's what I was saying....those false ones are making merchandise of the people and building their own personal wealth through their "ministries". Seems to be a feature of the false and counterfeit.

    Apostasy

Amen....and that makes it so deceptive. What we are seeing a lot of with the current falling away of protestant evangelical Christianity is that they are becoming friendly with Catholicism and no longer "protesting" it. So to me it almost looks as though Catholicism is a kind of default...

Disappearing Doctrines Written by Mike Gendron.

Since the Catholic Church claims to be Christian and following Christ they are not exempt from being examined, reproved, exhorted and corrected. As we're also admonished to test everything and test the spirits.

    Apostasy

I believe Judas is likely a pattern for the son of perdition spoken of in 2 Thessalonians. As Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil. Judas was in charge of the donations that were given to Jesus, and he protested when Mary anointed Jesus with her expensive perfume instead of...

Disappearing Doctrines Written by Mike Gendron.

A church that doesn't examine itself is like an individual believer that doesn't examine themself. We are told to rebuke, reprove, exhort with all longsuffering. As long as it's done in the right spirit. And one reason the church at large is losing its way in our time, is precisely because it...

Disappearing Doctrines Written by Mike Gendron.

It seems as though concerns over carnal things and affairs of the world are taking precedence over strengthening the body of Christ with spiritual truths these days.

    Dogmatic Christianity

Can't say I blame him really. Some people are going to have to give account for confusing, exasperating and disheartening their fellow brethren. There is so much false teaching around that is certainly not easy to be entreated and which divides the church. It's enough to drive anyone a little...

    What is New Testament Holiness?

Amen. We can only be righteous (and holy) by the Spirit of Christ in us...and scripture says if you have not the Spirit you are none of His. If even the Jews (who were called God's chosen people), who continued seeking to establish their own righteousness through the Law instead of submitting...
