Ephesian 4:1-32 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their...

Yes. Though I believe God can reach even the most hardened soul, as I've heard many wonderful testimonies over the years. So we just should never give up on anyone (unless the Lord tells us to), and don't let outward things discourage us, anything is possible with God.

Amen. God's word leaves no doubt, it is very clear. (And yes I addressed Jesus many times with Dad over the years, sometimes he would cut me off, other times it made him hostile, other times he wanted to give me lectures in an effort to dissuade me from my faith. The outward man can put up...

Amen, and thanks sister. I don't "need" to know for sure but it is a comfort to be able to have even a little bit of hope. And it just dawned on me this morning that the Lord speaks to us in dreams while we're asleep, so it doesn't seem like an impossible hope. :)

If a believer is close enough to someone to be weeping and crying at their death bed I dont' know why they wouldn't have witnessed and tried to reach them for the Lord while alive. Can't fathom that. But there's no point to try pursuing and praying for someone to be saved after they have died...

Oh the Lord is good! And nothing is impossible with Him! If He can speak even to dry bones and command them to live.....then there is hope. Thank you for sharing this. \o/ Bless you.

Just want to add that when I went into my Dad's room that last morning, his face seemed to me to have a little glow on and he looked more peaceful. I asked my sisters who were with me but they didn't notice anything different. I don't discount that the Lord may have wrought something in the...

Dad never regained consciousness after the surgery but I had opportunity to speak to him about Jesus some more while asleep in hopes of speaking to his spirit. Maybe a faint hope but one never knows. If I have forgiven him maybe God will too, at least that is my prayer. I leave my Dad in...

I have a lot on my plate right now and it's hard to concentrate. But I believe there is some truth here, but your foundation is all wrong as we have discussed in previous threads, and also we need to have things in right balance. We are saved by grace still, not works. We are called to be...

You have to experience it to understand it, but the new birth and the gospel that Jesus and the apostles taught is not religious ideology and pretension. It's a miraculous sea-change that occurs. There is still very much a need for instruction in the word and growth after that though. What I...

I'm giving this a like because they are excellent scriptures with an excellent point!...and it badly needs to be taught. Jesus is talking about one's personal walk as opposed to one's "ministry" in his name. You can minister and have all manner of spiritual gifts and go around doing miracles...

Many are turning the gospel and offense of the cross into a non-offensive man-pleasing philosophy. But the gospel offends, because it is meant to....it confronts and upsets powers and principalities in high places. And Jesus Himself said no man can come to the Father but by Him. And that...

Brain damage and failing kidneys. Taking him off life support today, as he would have wanted. But I am at peace with it, in so many ways I realized it is God's perfect timing and a mercy. Thank you all so much for praying.

There is your problem - you need spiritual ears to hear what the spirit is saying. God's ways are higher than man's. His goodness is higher than man's, and that is what Jesus was talking about to the Jews who thought they could be worthy and accepted for their own goodness/righteousness. When...

You are going to think what you want, but the Jewish mindset under the Law would have excluded any unrighteous as being not worthy of God - but the Messiah came to invite both bad and good to receive forgiveness and partake of His feast. (If you want to bring the Tree of knowledge of good and...

He is out of surgery and still sedated on a ventilator. The next day or two should let us know whether any of his organs (including brain) have been affected because they had to stop his heart/blood circulation and cool down the body to do a repair to his aorta. Up to now he has unfortunately...

That verse is not related to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, it is talking about preaching the GOSPEL to both bad and good who hadn't hitherto heard the gospel and been invited to come to the wedding ie, Gentiles. Some are/were "decent" folks humanly speaking ranging all the way up to...

The only thing I agree with you with this post is that God is wiser than me. Yes He is! Amen! But Epi, don't you know the wrong Tree is a Tree of knowledge of GOOD as well as evil? Think about it some.

Anyone who feels led to, may I ask that you please pray for my father's salvation - he's 95 and in hospital right now facing very risky surgery. Thanks and bless you in advance.
