How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Yes...are you implying that Lazarus was a Gentile? Not so. The gospels were written in Greek. And Greek was commonly spoken by the Jews in Israel at that time....Greek was the dominant culture back then from what I understand.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

It's not easy growing old. She doesn't like being spoken to as if she is a child, by her child. And it is for her child's sake that she still tries to maintain her "motherhood" because we will always feel our children need us to be their mother. Lord bless her.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Amen, it's more than just a "sample". Too much reliance on one's own analogies leads to a carnal understanding which misses the mark, not a spiritual understanding. We are to increase and grow in the measure we have been given and the way to do that is to be "investing" what we have been given...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

It sounds like that was you before you truly came to faith in Christ. It isn't everybody. That parable warns and exhorts, that's what it does. Nothing more, nothing less. And Jesus hadn't yet died on the cross when He spoke it. To the Jew first it would have been a warning about keeping...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Yes, and unfortunately no discernment either, if he can't tell after all this time, that I and others of us here didn't come to Christ by a "religious decision" but by the Spirit.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

More false assumption on your part....you can read my more expanded testimony if you want.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Oh it was heavenly. God was revealing Himself to me. I could hardly stop crying for a whole week, I was so happy there was a God after all. And it was miraculous.....one minute I didn't believe, the next minute I believed and knew. And also knew it was a power and faith outside myself. It...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

What happened is that my sins were forgiven and I was awakened from being dead in sin to knowing/experiencing God/Jesus! Thanks to His tremendous sacrifice! Not shuffling Jesus off to the side as if He only slightly matters and making it all about us having a thing called "eternal consciousness".

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

See anything about "being awakened to eternal consciousness" anywhere there? Nope, me either. Looks like Epi's teaching is adding to the word. Deception is such a strange phenomenon.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

We've been called just about everything under the sun that anyone can call a person, lol!

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

To you the gospel itself is dogmatic and nutty. Because it is foolishness to the perishing. I hope you will think about that. You made a wrong turn somewhere along the way and need to get back to the truth.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

....of those who believe in Him. How else can the Lord become someone's father or husband, except through faith. There is no spirit of adoption without Him because it is HIS spirit. If a widow or fatherless person dies in their sins and darkness, without knowing Jesus and never calls upon...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You appear to be forgetting the last part of that verse. Whosoever believes in Him will have eternal life, not whosoever doesn't believe in Him. God is love....but He will not be mocked.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

And does your religion tell you that posts like this proceed from your flesh or from the Holy Spirit?

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

? Goodness, yet another off the wall accusation by someone who is supposed to be a prophet. That by itself makes you false. Who is the father of lies? He is certainly fooling you. I don't practice any of those things, and thankfully never did even before I came to the Lord. Before I knew...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I just forgot. I've never done yoga and never would as it came from demons. Same with new age, it's all demonic. You..?

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You apparently don't read my posts. I point to the cross all the time, and to Jesus. And I do encounter God, quite a lot over the years when you add it up. He is gracious to speak to me now and then, leading and guiding, etc.... I'm not a stranger to His voice. When I first went to the...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Like many things, there are two sides to that coin.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

So what do you think of yoga? Good for Christians? or anyone? Do you practice it, or have you in the past since becoming Christian?

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Please answer my question...do you engage in any Hindu or Buddhist practices?
