    Is your tattoo faith based?

I doubt she went with him, just took the opportunity to do her own thing.

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

It was what scripture says it was. 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. So how could they understand? By the supernatural gift of interpretation of tongues. There was NO...

    Is your tattoo faith based?

No, but she has passed since then. Leukemia. So now, his tats are in honor of her.

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

Right, the disciples spoke in tongues, and the devout Jews listening each HEARD what the disciples were saying in their own tongue. That in no way implies that the tongues were, in fact, those languages, but it was what they HEARD.

    Is your tattoo faith based?

She never received one herself, but approved of what he wanted to do. She rode on the back of the Harley. I never did.

    Is your tattoo faith based?

He used to be "white collar" most of his life until he got a Harley, and then the tattooing followed.

    Is your tattoo faith based?

No, we don't have that kind of a relationship.

    Is your tattoo faith based?

I personally don't know many people who have tattoos. My brother in law has a few but they are fairly new, so not enough time for style to change.

    Understanding The HolySpirit

You've created too narrow a box for the Holy Spirit. He is not just our teacher. For instance, interpretation of tongues is by the Holy Spirit, and involves these: 6 But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

His promises are true. The gifts are for more than scripture, but also for building a personal relationship with God and communing with Him now, until we see Him face to face. This is done. You can have the last word, but be warned. Any reference to the devil or false Christs and I WILL report you.

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

I do have the truth, and know the gifts are for more than scripture, but also for building a personal relationship with God and communing with Him now, until we see Him face to face. If you can't hear Him anymore, or never have, maybe you never could. I don't really know you. But is that it? You...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

That is blasphemy. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

If you can't see, you can't see. We will just have to agree to disagree. Paul said, 1 Corinthians 14:38. I'm done arguing, especially if it may lead you to blaspheme the Holy Spirit with talk of gifts being of the "Devil" as you are doing now. I honestly never thought you would play that card.

    Who is Jesus Christ?

I think some who worship the Bible, and forget the instructions in righteousness, think God has gone on vacation. Maybe to Mars or some galaxy far, far, away. The result is they are hearers of the instructions, but have no faith in the gifts to DO the instructions.

    Who is Jesus Christ?

He's been funny with me too. I will have been looking all over the neighborhood for my cat late at night, wanting to get her in so I could go to bed, and then He'll say in a humorous tone, "I know where she is." And I'll slap my head, and say, "Of course you do, please send her home," and I head...

    Who is Jesus Christ?

@ByGrace This is an excerpt from my testimony - the part where I heard God's voice for the first time - 41 years ago. As a prologue, there was evidence that God twarted my meeting a new man that I thought could heal my broken heart. You would think I was now happy, but I wasn't. I was still...

    Who is Jesus Christ?

Thanks for including me, but what did He say?

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

You missed "instruction in righteousness." That is to walk in the Spirit. And He gives us tools to help. You think He gives instruction on how to use the gifts, and then takes them away once the manual is finished? That is just illogical, and making the manual itself an idol.

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

Sorry, I thought you were referring to "speaking in tongues." You know, the supernatural ability from the Holy Spirit.

Jack Van Impe preaching=Jesus is about to Return!!

Thanks for the link. I'll watch it tomorrow. And don't mind the scoffers who lost their faith in God's gifts a long time ago, and would rather read about the gifts, than possess them. He thinks himself an expert. I guess he's a history buff. I haven't watched JVI in a long time, but always...
