Is it possible to lose salvation?

OK So you know that to DISBELIEVE means to DISOBEY...and V V But then you go on to speak of believing the gospel... Good. Romans even says we are to have the obedience of faith. So.... why not believe everything Jesus taught? And which Paul also taught.... The gospel tells us HOW to become...

WHAT IS THE WATER IN JOHN 3:5?

Correct. If one studies the Covenants, they find that no covenant abolished the previous one....not even the NC which retained some of the requirements....The writer of Hebrews is stating how different the Old is from the New -- abolished in that sense. Each one made the previous one better, or...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

@nedsk I checked. HOW one receives communion is not a doctrine. Thus, we can do as we want. Also, they (priests and extraord ministers) feel that taking the host in the hand is more hygienic. Although, this was never said to me by a priest. (info from Deacon).

Is it possible to lose salvation?

You want to use John 3.36 to back up your statements?? John 3:36 36“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” Of course, you must be one of those that thinks it's translated NOT BELIEVE..... Sorry...

WHAT IS THE WATER IN JOHN 3:5?

Thanks LoveYeshua. I do believe I've graduated from believing it's physical birth. So right now, yes, baptism and spiritual baptism seem to be the best answers. I really appreciate that you thought this over. Some on this thread have stated this too...and did post John 4 about the living water...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

I understand very well about the communion of saints and how we all participate in the Mass, for instance. There is no "death". However, we die and if God would so will it...go to heaven. When we get there, how will we hear anyone's prayers....no matter HOW you want to define prayer. Do you...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Who saved YOU Pet? Is there more than one Savior?

Is it possible to lose salvation?

§Was going to let there go because, apparently, there's a misunderstanding beyond recooping. However I changed my mind for those reading along. WHEN did I ever say that there is no victory in being Christian? WHEN did I ever say that we have to wait to die? WHEN did I ever deny §God's divine...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Catholics that are believers.... are "Real Christians". It's really that simple.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

This has always been a problem for me. God is omni-present... Praying to those that have gone before us would make them omni-present.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Ronald,,, I have to sign off, but you REALLY should read the above verses again, and slowly. I'm afraid it's not the other member that is misunderstanding them,,,but YOU. 'night.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Correct. The moment anything is added to faith... it proves that faith alone is not biblical. Good post.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

YOU are also blessed among men. So why bring it up? Mary was God's favorite. I posted the verse. Mary was blessed beyond every other woman. Here's why: She bore the SON OF GOD.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Actually, the NT states that Mary is the most blessed among all women. We're all blessed Behold. If someone states that a person is blessed among all,,, it means he's blessed the most. It's a way of speaking...we in the West really miss a lot. Mary participates in salvation because she's the...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

@Behold is not an atheist and he's not a troll. He happens to be a nice fella. He's allowed to believe what he will regarding what the NT teaches... However, he brings his hatred for the CC to the front all the time and he's very confused about what the CC teaches. I've had several convos with...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Agreed. But I don't know if he's lacking.... he just likes to let everyone in and doesn't want to step on toes. The church SHOULD STEP ON TOES!

Is it possible to lose salvation?

You know Behold...I'm not Catholic in theology and dislike having to defend doctrine I may not even agree with... however, you do post stuff that just makes no sense. I'll reply to the above after dinner.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

The Little Monk. You're funny. Well, there are other problems with the CC. I have often posted that the Reformation was necessary,,, but it created a mess. I think indulgences really bothered the Little Monk and also salvation by works. The Early Fathers believed that we had to do good works...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Nice posters! Where do you get them? check out her outfit! Behold.... You really should stop. You know you'd get banned for this on the heretical forum. Degarding another's faith, even if you don't agree, is most unchristianly of you. Luke 1:28 28And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Agreed. It's not a sin. It just seems to be less reverential. I think using the altar would also be nice, instead of making a line... like someone is giving out candy or something. I also used to teach the catechism kids to wear proper clothing to Mass... but the priest said I shouldn't insist...
