    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

There was one baptism in the early church. Water baptism. A convert went down into the water dead, and came out alive in Christ. This meaneth, that we indeed descend into the water full of sins and defilement, but come up, bearing fruit in our heart, having the fear [of God] and trust in Jesus...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Augustine was a heretic. What he taught about original sin had never before been heard of in the early church. Here it is in a nutshell: Original sin was always taught, but infants were baptized not only for the removal of the EFFECT of original sin but for other reasons. Augustine taught, and...

TIME FOR THIS POPE TO GO....

I think THE anti-Christ will require world-wide approval and Pope Francis does not have this.... He doesn't even have approval from all Catholics. But he certainly is joining the ideology of the post-modern era and helping along the extreme left which is pure madness in an adult population...

    Great post!

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

I posted about being in heavenly places and you never replied. Are you PHYSICALLY seated in heavenly places? No. And, as I stated to another member here: We are in Christ. We are IN CHRIST IF we are walking with Him. If NOT, we have no place in Christ. Jesus said to ABIDE IN HIM.... If we...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Correct. And let's not forget our THOUGHTS! Just thinking something is not a sin.... but we also DWELL....

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

The early church, pre 325AD, did have a belief that after baptism persons would no longer commit sin. This was not found to be happening. Thus, the early church was faced with a problem.... Many waited to be on their death bed to be baptized so that all their previous life-long sins could be...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Strive for ourselves with the help of the Holy Spirit. I don't read anywhere in the NT that states that Jesus is going to do everything for us - which is what I hear a lot. As far as I can understand, the Holy Spirit ENTERS INTO US,,,,not the other way around. Jesus said He had to go away so...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Agreed. You're right. Suspended is for a time (possibly even forever). Now I forget what you had said that made me interested !! Are you saying our sin nature is suspended or eradicated??

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

What's the difference between SUSPENSION and ERADICATION? I mean, practically..... To suspend means to stop something from being in force.....like to suspend a law. To eradicate means to remove completely, to destroy...... In both cases the object/law in question is no more.

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Did you happen to see my post 467? Just some statements: My pastor at a Nazarene church taught that just committing a sin would cause one to forfeit their salvation. This sounded very wrong to me and I was a new Christian. Now, many years later, I know that even monks, that live with very...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

Let's try to get this thread back on track. John Wesley believed that a person could be totally sanctified IN THIS LIFE. Paul states that we are BEING SANCTIFIED. Hebrews 10:14 (or whoever wrote this letter). For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being...

    The Way/Theosis/entire sanctification.

How do you give the OP a like and then carry on with this OSAS nonsense? @Hebzibah brought up an interesting subject. Is entire/complete sanctification possible in a person's lifetime? And the topic becomes OSAS? Not my OP, so I'll stop here.

    Pope Condones Homosexuality

You know Ronald David Bruno The world is going to hell in a handbasket. Do you know why? Because of persons that reason the way YOU do.... Incorrectly. Jesus NEVER said to condone sin. Listen to this. FOR EVIL TO PROSPER ALL THAT IS NECESSARY IS FOR GOOD TO DO NOTHING. So, you not only DO...

TIME FOR THIS POPE TO GO....

Well, let me assure you,,,,the priests have. And some have refused.

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

NOT THIS ONE. Only GOD has authority over anyone. You'll go to heaven based on what YOU obeyed of Jesus' teachings... not any Pope. Believe what you will Mary. I don't have time for this.

What is the purpose of infant baptism?

OK. I thought you meant on here. You did a lot of work on your site. This has a lot to do with eschatology and I'm not about to get into a discussion on matters of which I know very little. But Daniel 10:21 states that the speaker has to get back to Michael the angel prince. So how could...

    OSAS : Gnostic Heresy

I asked you HOW a person becomes saved and you reply with the above? The above is speaking about corporate salvation economy. What I asked you, and which you apparently cannot answer is this: HOW DOES A PERSON BECOME SAVED? Are you beliefs so awkward that you are embarrassed to reply? HOW is...

    OSAS : Gnostic Heresy

Johann, The above is an excellent explanation of God's justice. However, if I may, I'd like to condense it to a very simple and correct explanation as to what justice means.... The definition works for both the secular world and the biblical understanding of God's justice. Justice simply means...

    OSAS : Gnostic Heresy

Because some don't seem to understand what the word JUST means. Those in the reformed camp CANNOT define this word because it goes against the grain of all they believe and they're theology would necessarily have to be redefined.
