    Secure Eternal Salvation

I haven't been following along. Sorry. However, we do not "lose" our salvation because of sin. Everybody sins even after they're saved. OSAS was NEVER a teaching in the early church. It IS a man-made doctrine that came about in the 1800's if I remember correctly. In any case, very recently...

    Secure Eternal Salvation

Hi EG, The problem here is that you have no knowledge of early Christian history. Persons could be immersed...it was preferable to show the death and rebirth of the person. However, water was scarce in many places and immersion was difficult for adults... So using water "sprinkled" on the head...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

1 John 2:3-4 3By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By...

    HERESY?

Jim B, Scripture states that the very people that believe can be deceived: 1 Timothy 4:1 1Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, I agree with @Enoch111 ... The Body of Christ CAN be...

    Love your posts. :)

    HERESY?

I just don't even understand what persons such as the other poster are really doing here. A person could believe what he wants to, but why go to such extremes to try and convince Christians that they're wrong about Jesus? Maybe they just need to convince themselves.

    HERESY?

Logos is an IT. You're right about this. What you can't seem to grasp is that the IT became a HE. If you can't accept this, you will never understand the Trinity. Not that I think you want to...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Yeah. But nothing beats the chat! I think we agree but maybe use a different language. Can't be sure.

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Wow You've become so mean. Why? Your comments were for @BarnyFife

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

Some Sabbath day worshippers believe the others are not saved because they break a commandment every week. You didn't know this?

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

You and @dad are having a nice conversation. What came to mind is that some of the law of Moses Was changed...you have heard it said, and then Jesus gave what God wants. Re your other post to me which goes along with this,,,yes, I have considered your reason why scripture does not mention...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

I'm good with that. We definitely do not succeed. I see what you mean. By saying that we are required to obey, it sounds like we are not allowed by God to fail. I try to put in parenthesis that we're to obey to the best of our ability, but sometimes I forget. Is your statement copywrited? I...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I agree. It's difficult to stay on one topic. This is because one doctrine leads to another. Total depravity requires irresistible grace. Unconditional election removes free will. I'm not sure how Perseverance of the Saints fits in because Calvin wrote that God makes some think they are saved...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

YES! I agree we are to keep the Commandments of Christ...which I did post. NO! We are not to discuss LAWS with new Christians or old Christians... If they love God they will keep all the laws (as best they could). But, yeah, that word REQUIRE to obey the commandments - or Law of Christ, does...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

But what's incorrect about it? I linked it because all 3 state that observing the Sabbath is ceremonial and not moral. That's the only reason for the links. I don't believe this could be disputed. All the 9 commandments are moral. Going to church is not moral. I think we should end it here. I...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Regarding Joel 2:29-32 This is referring to Romans 10:10-13 and then continuing on to the next verses which state that we must hear in order to believe, verse 14. Someone must tell about Jesus and salvation..someone must be sent, verse 15. But not everyone will WELCOME the good news. verse 16...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Your last sentence is interesting. I'll have to think on it a minute. In the meantime: 1. Some of the reformed faith do believe that God only loves those that He chooses for salvation. There is disagreement on this however...I'm aware of this. 2. God made everything very good. So much...

    The 10 Commandments are FOREVER

OK Again, I agree with all you say. But do you ever feel that the way in which you word this could be taken incorrectly by a new Christian or a non-Christian? IOW,,,this is how I understand Law and Grace: We are REQUIRED to follow the Moral Law... The Law of Christ... The 2 Great...
