I grew up as a hungry and thirsty Catholic looking for answers and believing that I had many of them... even though later I was to discover that I did not. After high school [graduated 1961] I tried for several years the way of man, the way of what they call agnosticism. I questioned but never...

They are trying to close off access to the Light at the end of the tunnel. They cannot really do that but they will certain try. "Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!" Matt 18:7 "Ye are of God, little...

There is only one Way to salvation and that is through Jesus. Any other way attempted including some sort of a compromise will not please God: "Be it known unto you all... that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth..." "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name...

Amen! Good insights from God via bbyrd. Read also Jesus explanation as to why he spoke in parables here: "And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of...

Indeed a good place to read from listing some of the good fruit from God: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." Gal 5:22-23

I am glad you are content with your simple explanation. What is obvious to you, is likely not obvious to everyone else, including me. Carry on my friend as God leads you.

"And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40 Do you see the Son and believe on him? Are you working in that direction? Are you asking for His help every day and...

A belated Happy Easter to you as well, my friend!

The whole plan is God's. Included in that plan are the ways carnal men choose to walk and do walk when they choose mammon rather than God. God allowed the choice for men from the beginning with the single thing forbidden to Adam and Eve. God inspired men, including Solomon, to set down as the...

All is well with me my friend in the Spirit today. I won't get into the flesh part... LOL. Quite a bit of discussion on this forum recently with regard to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit most people would agree is God, the One who is Holy indeed. When the Holy Spirit is in us and leading us...

Yes, in that verse, indeed in that book penned by Solomon 3,000 years ago is found a description of man, carnal man, man without the Holy Spirit. He has still the dust from which he was formed by God, but it is essentially an empty shell without the Life which God initially gave. Men killed...

Praying that you are able to find good homes for them. When my wife and I had to leave our own home a few years ago to live in an apartment, we had two little dogs that were like our own children. I had met a sister from Nebraska on another forum who lived out in the country on a small farm...

Between Breath and Spirit, man often wants to make a distinction, but does God? What would the "breath" of God be? God is, I believe, we would agree, a Spirit, that is an entity without physical substance as we of the flesh know it. We breathe "air", but what would God breathe? "And the LORD...
