The Bible may indeed interpret the Bible for a person when the interpretation for that person comes from the Holy Spirit. Man's seemingly logical fitting of parts of written scripture one against another or one with another to determine truth will not always work. Men too often make a habit of...

That may be so. I cannot speak for anyone else but me. Nor is it mine!

@Sabertooth Is that the belief or knowledge you received through the Holy Spirit? Do you always know correctly every interpretation of every verse of written scripture? If your answer is, no, then what if you are wrong in this one? If, however, your answer is, yes, should everyone who...

What if it is also contrary to what most labeled Christians today believe? Is that not also a possibility if most of them today are not being led in their beliefs in on this point by the Holy Spirit? What do we see in our supposedly primarily Christian nation of the United States?

Is that the belief or knowledge you received through the Holy Spirit? Do you always know correctly every interpretation of every verse of written scripture? If your answer is, no, then what if you are wrong in this one? If, however, your answer is, yes, should everyone who disagrees back away...

Or perhaps some man in that role named as Satan as Peter was named Satan by Jesus? Which one is worse in the eyes of God, the unbeliever who performs or instigates the curses, or the believer in a lapse who does the same? "Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that...

@My Dreams Praying for you now!

Consider the result when a man looks directly at the sun with the unprotected natural eye. What did they see here? "And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all...

I did something similar with my piano music. Over the years I would buy a book here or there... or an old piece of sheet music mostly at second hand stores for my piano. Several years ago when my stuff in my study was overwhelming my space again, I sat down at my computer and spent days scanning...

People, [including myself here], do not understand God. I am speaking also of many or most of those who carry the Christian label. Did Moses or the Apostle Paul in their natural lifetimes clearly see and understand God? I would say, No!

My mother, who was far from a "saint", still never cussed. Even in anger I never heard her use what anyone would call a cuss word. My father never cussed but then again all of his life that I knew him he served God. I only lived in his household as a toddler. My step-father, who knew only...

Cancer of any kind can be a scary thing. I remember in the early 1990's when they found a cancerous growth on my father's eye. At the time Oklahoma City had no facility for that kind of surgery so he went to Dallas. They removed it successfully without damaging his vision, but shortly thereafter...

Thank you for your kind words! Anything good coming from me, my brother in Christ, is from God. I wish that I had never failed, but like most [all?] people at times I have let down my guard or grown weary in well doing and looked away... Then like Peter, I have started to sink into the water...

On another forum many years ago a Greek Orthodox priest gave us this explanation of the three days and three nights. These are his written words: [On another thread, a related subject to this was brought up. However, since the topic was narrowed to discussions of whether the 6th day was...

@Dosia Also checking with you here. Please let us know how things are going.

In my memory, I have never been there... that is, I have never been an atheist. Even during my college years in my 20's when questions were in my mind and my two best friends confessed themselves to be atheists I could never take that position as my own. I had no facts but my own experience with...

What do I believe? I believe that every man born of woman throughout his course [his lifetime] works either "for" God or "with" God to accomplish men's part in God's overall plan. Those working "with" God should be the ones paying close attention to God's perfect will for a situation. This...

Satan, the adversary or simply... the left hand of God!

@Taken Also praying for Becky!

You should not presume that. Some people want to read something that tickles their ears instead of feeding their hearts. Start a thread about Covid-19 or about politics and watch them like "____" gobbling it up and adding more stuff to the mess... Early in His ministry Jesus spoke to thousands...
