Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Yes,,, that would be pretty. Even a bit larger. BTW,,,those squared off nails are no longer in style. (thank you God).

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Gosh Taken...I'd have to go back and see my actual words... I'm sure I didn't say the above. Parents cannot choose salvation for their baby. They can choose to welcome that baby into the Christian Community. I also posted some reasons why Catholics baptize their babies. I did this because I...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Yes, it is pivotal. Many sacrifices were made in the time before Christ.... But Christ was the perfect sacrifice...the one that only HE,,being both man and God, could offer. And now no other sacrifice is necessary. In fact, about 30 years or so after Jesus died,,,the temple was destroyed...

All the ELECT please stand up

So everyone here is wrong about God... ONLY YOU are right. You should think this over,,,if possible. Just like you don't understand John 15:16, you also do not understand the rest of scripture. Now, I must say that I admire @CNKW3 ongoing conversation with you. Of course, you know that I'm not...

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Missed this.... Yes, sure. I agree. Maybe something on the hand...it's very noticeable.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

I do believe that some hoopala is necessary for humans. Like having a ceremony for a marriage. It kind of helps the two persons really understand and believe that something important has happened. I'm not attending a church right now for various reasons...but I do believe it's also important...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

This reply is too simple for me. It's not that I disagree...it's that I believe there is much more that we can't understand. None of us can...we're limited in our knowledge of the supernatural world of God.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Of course I agree with much of what you've said which is why I left the cc. I was trying to state why they do this. I also agree with some of the reasons why it's done. Since I believe that baptism is a real happening...satan can be denounced even if the baby does not believe yet. Of course...

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Not too bad. I can't find an image of what I'm talking about. I saw one guy with a totally black tattoo on his leg. It went all around the leg, under the knee,,,and it was about 6 inches high (?)....maybe more. I couldn't see the reason behind doing this. They like the color black??

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

I do have a question for you.... Why would Jesus instruct the Apostles to teach and to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in Matthew 28:19 IF baptism is ONLY the sign of an inner change? WHY would this symbolism be needed? To impress those we know? (that we have...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

I agree. But I also know that the early church did do this...(baptize infants) and I understand why. I also don't believe it is ONLY symbolic as Protestantism teaches. I hope you saw my reply to Taken. no. 623

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Yes, it makes sense...but most that I see are not intended for the reason you are so enamored of...unfortunately. Now this total black stuff is popular..it looks terrible.

All the ELECT please stand up

Calvinists believe the called are the chosen are the elect. YOU say ALL are called to believe in Jesus, but only few have received the Holy Spirit. YOU say the calling refers to everyone. You can't have it both ways...which is it? WHO ARE THE CALLED?

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Taken,,, I truly don't know what you're talking about. What did I post to bring this about? OF COURSE the unable are not judged like we are. Do you mean "on behalf of another" in the question of baptism? I believe I replied to you in no., 623. NO ONE can choose for another person. There's some...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

The Apostles (some) wrote some of the N.T. Those that came after them DID preserve the writings. What church do YOU think was around back then?

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

I agree with all you've said. I stated that I understand why the early church, right after Jesus ascension, infants were indeed baptized. This can be confirmed by the writings of these men. The reasons why are interesting. 1. Baptism is a rite of initiation into the church. A welcoming...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Agreed. But how many families that call themselves Christian really follow this model? I believe very few...I've seen this in my own family. Some parents don't even bring their children to church,,,and yet they call themselves Christian.
