Hey B, I skimmed through it, not because it's not well-written..it's very good. But I'm not that interested in eschatology...and FOR ME, it's just too long. Could I ask you what you mean by the following? You might have explained it in the article,,,I'm sorry that I probably missed it...

Hi bb, No ,,, it's about how many manuscripts we have and how YOUNG they are... at least 150 years after Jesus ascension. Here are some links....51 BTW, means the 51st papyrus found..P stands for papyrus..there are more after this one, and, of course, before this one. Manuscript P51 - CSNTM...

Hi G, I've been trying to remember to put a disclaimer at the bottom of my post to BoL. I'm not saying I agree with the doctrine of the CC..... I'm just stating what the CC teaches, to which BoL is not in agreement. A thread on this would be interesting....

People needed help because it was such a radical new idea after Judaism existed for about 1,500 years. (beginning with the Hebrews).

Understood. Please just confirm the following with a like.... In calvinist theology: Foreknowledge means God knew what would happen before it happened. Prescience means God foreknew what would happen because he DECREED it. Thanks.

Please post the Gerhard quote. Please remember that there are those in the CC that, like @BreadOfLife of life insist on one of the following: 1. THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN CATHOLIC TEACHING. 2. THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE BUT IT'S ONLY DISCIPLINE AND NOT DOCTRINE. ???????? Do YOU see a...

Yes Scott... I realize that only YOU know God. Gee. Maybe he's sending YOU delusions? No need to reply.

What do I believe? I agree with what you've written...

I do believe the reformers were wrong and only believed this due to their hatred of the Pope. I'm not a student of eschatology, but I've read a little bit and some believe the anti-christ will come out of Mecca. Also, anti-christ is just anyone that is opposed to Christ...You think the Pope is...

YOU have proved NOTHING. My last post just above shows from WHAT YOU LINKED that we're talking about A DOCTRINE. Since disciplines CAN BE CHANGED..... And DOCTRINE CANNOT..... WHY is the Vatican in an uproar over THE CHANGE ALLOWING REMARRIEDS TO RECEIVE COMMUNION???? And, yes kind sir... we...

LOL This is toooo funny. 1. You didn't state the source. 2. Please note that Mueller is the head of the CONGREGATION OF THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH. He's trying to show that THERE WAS NO CHANGE,,when, in fact, there was. 3. I posted this document days ago. It's an OFFICIAL document of the...

OK. But to be intellectually honest,,,both of us have to admit that Peter was not the first POPE. The CC goes back AFTER THE OFFICIAL PAPACY was established and gave the title of POPE to ALL the BISHOPS OF ROME, from the time of Peter. This does not diminish his role in the early church... but...

It's very late h ere and this has to wait till tomorrow,,, but could you please explain to me what prescience is? I don't like to learn anything from google, except if I already know what I'm reading is correct. IOW, what's the difference between prescience and foreknowledge. (I know what...

I owe you a post. Later...

Let this be perfectly clear... I don't despise anyone. I don't hate anyone. I might dislike someone but it takes a lot. YOU don't care for my writing style and it causes problems. YOU seem to think you know everything and everyone else is wrong. Maybe we're all like this... All I know is that I...

1.) Anyone who is trying to prove a point by making the Scriptures contradict one another does not have the Truth of God in them 2.) Thanks, I do try. It's either cute or vicious savage, apparently neither one is acceptable. 3.) Sure! Theses verses are clearly speaking that it takes a work of...

You've taught 2nd grade students that it's OK to be divorced, remarried, and still receive Holy Communion? And your priest and bishop were OK with this? What kind of a super liberal parish to YOU belong to? No wonder your ideas are a mess.

Too many persons with too many personal opinions. Jesus didn't put Peter in charge for nothing. He was looked up to and he was consulted when problems arose. I find even in companies and corporations.... If everyone is in charge... NO ONE is in charge.

We here all know that YOU are the only one that reads scripture... the rest of us shouldn't even be here, we're so dumb and we're all liars. All you know to do is INSULT persons... How about replying to my posts instead of insulting me? Maybe YOU can't have an intelligent conversation.... And...

NO! I am NOT implying something is lost in the message. What I'm saying is the opposite. We do not have the originals...we do not have copies of the originals....we have manuscripts from more than 100 years after the originals were written. There are MANY differences between all the manuscripts...
