Hi GH, The problem is that the CC is CHANGING what they have believed forever, from the beginning. This is not splitting hairs....one of the main tenetts of the CC is that it CANNOT change doctrine. Doctrine is a belief and teaching that comes from FAITH and biblical origin. If Jesus SAID...

Some persons can't get rid of the clutter....

We are NOT discussing Protestants here. If this is such an impotent argument,,,why was the church in a frenzy over it 3 or 4 years ago? AND STILL IS. For those that might be interested that still don't understand the change of doctrine and how DOCTRINE HAS CHANGED: It really starts at 3:00...

Where? You posted ONE PAGE from some dumb book. How about posting something from the Vatican as I have done? You wanted to have an intelligent conversation. So WHERE is this intelligent conversation YOU asked for ? As I've stated... Just because YOU say something, does not make it so...

Well my dear bb, most peeps are in betweens. And, as I've often said, we ALL have our problems...whatever they may be. What's good about you is that you're honest.... You say what you want to say...this is good, I hate to WONDER what people think and I sure can't read between the lines...I'm...

I don't care to have a reply to you. I just want to tell you that the first century Christians LEARNED FROM THE APOSTLES. The Early Christian are those who put the entire N.T. together into one book. If you don't trust them... WHO do you trust? The Holy Spirit? So those that I mentioned...

P.S. I just saw your signature line. God is the potter and we are the clay? I mean,,,really! And I'm blind and I reject the truth. I suppose ONLY YOU have the truth... the rest of Christianity is lost. I think our conversation should end here. Perhaps you and atpollard could discuss between...

K, Too late for me to go through this now....almost 1 a.m. Will reply tomorrow morning.... In the meantime... I DO NOT QUOTE COMMENTARIES or link them. Go through all my posts since I've been here and count how many times I've done this. Because I did this with you is no reason to believe I do...

Could you repeat that? Is God doing it all or is He not?

@aspen A, I hate to beat a dead horse, but this is a good article on why Amoris Laetitia caused such an uproar with is still raging. It is a MORAL question and all moral questions must go through the Magesterium, as I'm sure you know. It is a question of FAITH since Jesus declared that...

LOL Agreed! About the doctrine part. This conversation has nothing to do with this Pope. @BreadOfLife insisted that it is not possible for the church to make a change in doctrine. THIS IS A CHANGE IN DOCTRINE. (emphasis...I never yell). Now he says it's a change in discipline. Is giving the...

That member does tend to do this.

@aspen Here, just in case you don't believe me. Reconciliation in the sacrament of Penance which would open the way to the Eucharist, can only be granted to those who, repenting of having broken the sign of the Covenant and of fidelity to Christ, are sincerely ready to undertake a way of life...

A, it has nothing to do with prayer and reconciliation. Don't you understand? There can be no reconciliation if they are remarried. Because they are LIVING in CONSTANT MORTAL SIN. The ONLY condition existing is that they'd have to be living as brother and sister. (this is how the church calls...

This was true for the O.T. This was not true for the N.T.

bb This will cover all 3 of your posts to me since they deal with the same idea. I didn't say there are conflicts in the N.T. There are some conflicts but they're unimportant. What I'm saying is that we do not have the exact words of Jesus. There was a member on another forum that stuck to...

K, Since YOU are following a man named Calvin, I'd said it's rather funny that you tell ME I'M following a man. Which man would that be? If you don't understand John 15:16,,,,you really should find some way to really understand it. YOU can say it means all of us,,,but you're wrong of course...

I'm beginning to doubt it. I think the Holy Spirit only works through SOME people.... Others don't even know who He is.

Giving the body and blood to someone IN MORTAL SIN is a discipline?

And I should believe YOU? How about proving it. Thanks.
