The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

This kinda blends into the post I just wrote to you. Thanks for your response. I believe you misunderstand Scott's intent...all I hear in Scott's thread is " Come up higher" I don't hear him elevating himself, I hear him saying- "Folks there is much land yet to be possessed" No, Paul didn't...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

I know I am jumping to this thread etc... I see a great difference between believing what has been told to us about someone/God. And knowing Him. Paul speaks about "going on to know the Lord. Believing can very easily , and often is , a standing still ( or sitting still...) and kinds...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

No way, cannot be separated. But why such a harsh post? Why assume? Did not all believers "have an epiphany" on the day and hour that they first believed? o_O Didn't you? How are you a believer if you didn't hear His voice calling and His love revealed to you? Just interested. Thanks.

    The proof of OSAS

Funny ...very true... :) When they don't like what we say, they always dig into their bag of tricks and pull that same old chestnut out once again. LOL It only show up that with that attitude they have no idea what grace really means, or what the 'commandments written on our heart' means to...

    "Raise the dead"

Thank you, such a good post. :D Wish I could have read that before bed...or time zones must be very different. My day started hard as you know...it ended well, but would have been even weller if I'd caught this post. My light goes out at ten. I come off my laptop at 9-15pm (see I am still a...

I didn't even know that this thread was here...it has totally gone over my head...no idea why I didn't see it in New Posts. I am late to the party..and had to go back to page #1 ( which is this quote of Scott's) I'm glad that you wrote "possibly"...for I don't think I agree. But I do think...

    In their Christmas sermons …

@junobet I too have 'read the forum rules.' If you are going to quote me..then quote me clearly and say what I said. I did NOT say that you are not a Christian ( which against the forum rules) I didn't even mention the word CHRISTIAN in my post! what I said was:- I QUOTE:- And if...

Is it time for Christians to become more accepting towards muslims in politics?

Well said. Up north they have whole towns now which are practically "No-Go"..and as you say even the police don't/can't/wont go there.

    The proof of OSAS

No one "automatically includes theirself" We know by pinching our leg that we were born into this world. And we are aware of this world around us. It is no different when we are born into the Spirit. We are 'aware' very much of the realm we have been born into. We recognize Family...

Pia..that one liner was in connection with my post #13. I doubt when you heard that your grandson was laying on the brink of life and death...and needed a miracle and healing , you all prayed fervently and added at the end- " IF it be thy will." Did you doubt what the will of God was for your...

    The Upward Path

By Patsy Clairmont Broken walls were a sign of Jerusalem’s vulnerability (weakness) and are a sign of our own. If we have had a skirmish with someone that has left us hurt and angry it leaves a gaping place where resentment can reside. And resentment is one rowdy fellow who kicks dust in...

    Praise for miracle grandson

Amen Pia...and I doubt that when you all prayed for his life and his healing that you added " If it be they will" LOL ( just come off a different thread where this is being discussed ) I am sure you all 'took hold of God ' and broke the bonds of the Enemy of our souls over your grandson...
