    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

    So you say.
  2. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

    NKJV perhaps, I use both.
  3. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

    You guys should talk semantics.

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

No, you quoted you choice of translations. I quote mine, but have also paraphrased according to the Holy Spirit and the need for spiritual discernment. The truth from God is not debatable.

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

I realize that your comment may be an attempt to be kind, and I thank you for that. But if scripture is "straightforward" rather than "confused" by God and "must be spiritually discerned"...then that is the problem. You are "leaning on your own understanding", and thus suffer the usual "dim"...

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

I'm sorry...you have confused "the scriptures must be spiritually discerned" with "must be translated by men."
  7. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

I say again: "GOD IS SPIRIT."
  8. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

It was a direct "quote." Take it up with the Author.

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

So then you are not confessing/agreeing that we must be born again/also of the spirit of God and that is the future, that the flesh profits nothing, and that is why you quoted John 3? Because it sounded like you might be coming to your senses and seeing that all I am saying is what is already...

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

The context of you making your point was in the middle of accusing me. That's the problem:
  11. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

Then why did you quote scripture about being born of the spirit of God, saying the same thing I have been saying?
  12. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

What failure? You quote scripture supporting what I have been saying, approving of the scripture - making my point for me, but then tell me it is a failed point. That's crazy!
  13. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

Wow...10 pages of arguing about the spiritual nature of God...with disdain!
  14. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

Your hatred and disdain for the Spirit is showing.
  15. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

That is all just you talking, and stating your own understanding. I wouldn't brag about it. So much of it is wrong.
  16. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

No, that's wrong. Spirit is capitalize in modern text by translators...but not always. For instance, when the scriptures quote Jesus saying "You must be born again of the spirit of God" most translations do not capitalize it. Likewise, many capitalize He, His, and so on, when referring to the...
  17. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

You didn't say both...you mixed the two. Anyway...Did I say I deny that demons...? No, just kidding, I am not going to come back at you all indignant like you just did. But, no, I explained...perhaps you should go back and read my explanation. Oh, now you did it! Now you have gone and accused...
  18. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

You acting as if the baseline is the elements of this world. It's not. It's higher, much higher. You are also mixing up visions with the reality of God and the heavenly realm. Those simply depict a "likeness." And where I am not sure I even know the proper meaning of Gnosticism...it is not...
  19. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

I have never said that God is "a" spirit, but rather quoted the scriptures to say that "God is spirit." That's all. So...false alarm...or perhaps I should say, false suspicion. You can chill.
  20. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

"Testing all things against Scriptures" would be a stretch... Yes, "all scripture is good for..." and yes, "test all things." But we should also know that the scriptures "must be spiritually discerned" and that "all language" has been "confused" by God. So, we can't just choose which method we...
