    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

The fact that there are a host of other spirits, does not mean that God is not spirit. Certainly, it would be a mistake to categorically dismiss the spiritual nature of God. For this Jesus scolded the Lawyers, who took away the spiritual and thus the key of knowledge regarding God, by referring...

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

You must have me confused with someone else. I advocate for the Holy Spirit only, and yet am well aware of other spirits and the spirit of anti-Christ and their daily attacks.

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

No, that is wrong: Luke 9:23 “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." We need to be proactively in the spirit, setting our eyes on God, whom is spirit. Taking up ones' cross, means laying down the physical.

    Better me than the Alternative.

More evading. I did not ever give any reason (nor did Jesus who said it first) to have anyone think He meant a spiritual being. That is a dodge of semantics. But that is not to say that what is manifest of God is not spirit, because it is, and that is the word from Christ. But now you mix in...

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

You are evading. That does not answer both questions, but only pits your choice of translations against another. Either way, the truth should be clear. I'll answer for you: Jesus Christ, the Word, is the only author of scripture. His words are spirit. That is my point in this thread. But...

    Used derogatorily I'm sure.

And if I had spoken underhandedly in worldly terms, would you have complimented me?
  9. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

Doing well. God is good. And you?
  10. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

    Of the spirit.

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

All of those are spiritual. But you didn't answer my questions...so we can come clean and be honest about these things. I say again: Is any part of the word of God by any other Author than the Word, Jesus Christ our Lord? And, what did He say...are His words "spirit" or not?

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

I am glad that you said that. Perhaps then you will also understand "the key of knowledge" according to Christ, is the Spirit. Which is exactly what I have been saying, and what you have thus far rejected.

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

You are going to need to catch up first, but I will not leave this unanswered: Indeed, everything is not spirit...and that is the problem. God is spirit and perfect, and we are to be like Him...not like the unspiritual world.

Slow down. Count to 10. You are not even hearing yourself. First...this is not about me, so don't take things personal, and don't lash back. Me speaking the truth is not an attack on you...it is simply a plumb line, and you stand on one side or the other. Now...."the Bible [does] declare...

No contest. Oh...and you are wrong. The "gift of knowledge" is not learned, it's a "gift" from God. If you "learned" it, you earned it, and it is no "gift" at all, it's only what you deserve.
  16. ScottA

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

Okay...time for another reality check: The Beginning and the End of God...is spirit: "God is spirit." In between the Beginning and the End, between the First and the Last...is the world, and the truth from God is that those in between...are evil. Thus Jesus preached that we "must be born...

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

If you do not "seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness", which is spirit...you do not have a leg to stand on. Your word is not trustworthy. Even Satan and the demons have the truth in part.

    God "spiritualizes" EVERYTHING.

You quote, but do not understand. "That which shall not be destroyed", Jesus explained, saying "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys...
