I read this thread, but I am not really posting in it. Isn't ( your quote) like the Gen 1:2 ? "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Doesn't this word void mean Ruin, Waste...? I've...

. . ( Something 'borrowed') "Jesus took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray, and as He prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering... they saw his glory" (Luke 9:29-32). "If I have found grace in Thy sight, show...

Haha!! That is a good one. Very clever...How about Proverbs 30:4 but you will have to ask Q****** for His name ? :p It will all be a different story tomorrow. Although I am too old really... I do still work in my son in laws office doing some filing for him. Fridays are my days for...

@christiang Thank you for your detailed reply. Obviously we don't see eye to eye totally, ...but at least I can now see why you were saying what you were saying, plus I now know and understand better where you are coming from. :) That great helped, thanks.

Okay @bbyrd009 I have now enlarged it one click. So far it is not off the page. Now that I have done that...my size 5 font looks a bit big. What do you think?

Oh yes, I have already made the Site bigger..but if I make it any larger it falla off the page..and then the slide bar is needed, I hate that. So..if you have made yours larger...does my size 5 look too large? I don't want it to look like I am shouting!! LOL

Excellently said @aspen . Good one. :)

Not a trick question, a genuine one...I'm getting a bit lost here.:( In what I may bold above in your post...whenever we say the sin is not 'imputed' to us..people scream...so what are you saying here. I'm very aware of that scripture...but, if christians sin after they receive the Holy...

I have to agree...I always pass by very l..o..n..g.. posts which have been copied and pasted to "prove some point" written by someone else saying it. I never read those.... Especially when it is really Blogging at us, and not posting TO us as a discussion. some paste one page after...

Yep....and one must wonder why on earth Sword posted the kind of OP he made...HERE!! It looks like it should have been in the Debate section.

I believe prayer can be many things...it can be praise, worship, intercession, travail supplication...etc etc.. Yes indeed Jesus mentioned prayer. But hardly something which forum are full of , which is the topic here. He also mentioned "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do...

I believe that absolute truth HAS been revealed to us. I do NOT believe that we have absolutely 100% HEARING of what has been written. It is the interpretation of scripture which is the problem...not the scripture itself. People harp on and on about "what the bible says".. yet they...

Oh great...when I feel brave I will give it a go. I'm glad Richard asked what a meme was. :D The other day I was on FaceTime with my 23 yr old grandson and he mention the word "meme"...and I felt too stupid to tell him that I had no idea what he was talking about! ( he thinks I am a 'cool'...

I guess this is where we separate...and our conversations always tend to collapse. No one has the truth because God is LOVE! He created us as a Body. Not all the body is a the hand, or foot, or finger..etc.... He did not make us so any 'one person' would be the whole...but so that the whole...

Brave man, brave post. Somehow on this forum whenever we speak of " the precious things" that God has taken us through in our walk...it gets kicked back or torn apart. Good testimony . amen

Good question Mary. I would have to say that no Christian I have ever known in 53 yrs was/is totally void of any misunderstanding of some parts of the bible...including myself and yourself. So no..we do not have all truth. The ones in life and on this CyB site..cannot help having 'some'...

Amen...I can say Ditto to that.

Not so sure about the normal thing. :D But I must admit when I see what some people believe I find I am indeed more 'normal'. Lets say, more normal than some :D I did miss out in my 'list' that back in the late 70's we were involved in the Deliverance Ministry for a few years. So most...

I could totally understand all the accusations ...If this was a 'church' meeting. This is not a church gathering...this is just a group of 'mostly' retired people who have too much time on their hands...gathering here to talk about the things of God...and also share what we believe or even...

Ive been a mixture of many. :) First in the Brethren church where my dad was a preacher. The we moved house and dad became a Methodist preacher. Then when I became a believing-believer...I was in a Holiness Temperance Mission. THEN after 10 years we joined the Charismatic Movement and became...
