Is Romans 7 a license to sin?

Here is an actual verse that shows the new nature... Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. So watch carefully...

    The Gospel of Grace:

Actually you misunderstand...read carefully what Whitestone is saying. He is talking about a new life in the Spirit according to the power of God. Not a human scheme for covering up sins

Is Romans 7 a license to sin?

The Romans 7 verses have been covered in this thread...Paul goes through the process of what it was like before being in Christ. Do you care to comment on my response? If you understand the bible you will see that I cover the verses with my statement.

Is Romans 7 a license to sin?

God loved us so He gave us of His Spirit and empowered us to walk as His Son by grace through faith.

    The Gospel of Grace:

Are you from the peace corps? Humans can justify their actions through charity...but this is not the same as being in Christ. LOving God remains the first commandment.

A Spiritual Christian does not sin.

Without Christ no man could uphold the law. Rom_3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

    The Gospel of Grace:

You admit that you're still stuck in your old nature like those in the OT. But we have a new covenant in Christ. So you claim the promises of the NT while still walking in your own strength...it just doesn't wash.

A Spiritual Christian does not sin.

If dogs that claim to not sin are the ones returning to their vomit that would mean that they claimed victory over sin like every other non- Christian, right??? Where do you live where non-believers claim to have victory over sin?

    The state of the church

I am talking of the history of the church as if it were a man. Do you know church history?

Is Romans 8 a license to be holy?

When a person has a toothache...they know it. How? because of the reality of the pain. When a person is in the Spirit...they know it. How? They are filled with a love joy and peace that defies any earthly description. :) Simple.

    The Gospel of Grace:

But I am submitting to Christ's righteousness. This is the power that overcomes in me. I think you mean I am not submitting to your understanding of God's righteousness which is to grab hold of a doctrine that is without any power or reality.

Is Romans 7 a license to sin?

You place your faith in an IT....rather than in Christ.

Is Romans 8 a license to be holy?

Do you know the difference between the temple laws and the law of God? Do you think the Mosaic laws of natural Israel are the same as the eternal law of God? Your disdain for any law...including that of ther Almighty puts you in the same catagory as a common criminal. It is the law of Christ...

    The state of the church

The sory of the church is like the story of Sampson. Very strong at first until seduced by the world (Constantine)...captured and then blinded....but at the end there is one last great work. Again the story of the prodigal son also is like the history of the church.

    The Gospel of Grace:

You are confusing people who try keeping the law in their own strength with people who have surrendered their lives to have Christ live through them. You of course are neither of these. You prefer living in your own strength and NOT keeping the law. That is called being lawless. This has...

    The state of the church

The church people are essentially divided into two camps. Those who want to live their lives here doing what they want....and those that are willing to give up their lives in order to let Christ live through them. All other considerations stem from one of these two motivations.

    First Resurrection

I don't believe that the saints will be actually physically beheaded during the tribulation. Do you? I believe that the bible wants to take us to a spiritual place. Being beheaded means we are no longer lords of our own lives.

All scriptures have a deeper dimension to them. Do you think the saints will see the return of the guillotine???

    The state of the church

The church of Christ is simply the gathering of the saints and faithful brethren in any given locality. Each church is to have Christ as it's Head and be led of the Spirit. Christians are not followers of a book, a dogma, a hierchy, a man-made institution or anyone but Christ. The Head of...
