I think that many of today's Christians think that Jesus is protecting them from an angry and distant Father. They see that Jesus protects the disobedient. In truth this belief is the opposite of a Son coming to RECONCILE mankind with the Father.

But this faith actualy overcomes the world...just like faith actually chases demons away or heals the sick. Faith is not a philosophical position...but the means by which we enter into God's realm...where NOTHING is impossible. We have faith in what God can do THROUGH us. That is true...

Wondering who is saved or how big you reward in heaven is...is futile. Making a doctrine from such a motivation like this...is deceitful. In a topic such as this we should rather be telling others of the wonderful experiences of power related to God's grace.

This is true! I believe the RC practice falls under the "vain repetitions" catagory. But even here the Holy Spirit is not out of the picture entirely. God frustrates every plan of man to organize Him out of the church! :)
