    How does God lead?

No, because the scriptures say something different.

    Personal Revelation

That is not exactly what you are doing, because you yourself are adding conditions that contradict the scriptures, by excluding the Spirit...and if you responded the same to the prophets of old, to Jesus, and to the apostles the same way, you would be doing exactly what Israel did and what God...

    How does God lead?

That doesn't work - not because it is not in the scriptures...but because you have contradicted the scriptures.

    Personal Revelation

You are not the judge of such matters, even for yourself. Nonetheless, I did not give you "extra biblical information about scriptual matters", nor did I do as "Saul did", nor any "other source", only God. As I said, on the contrary, I did what the prophets of old did, what Jesus Himself did...

    How does God lead?

I get your point...it's just wrong. You are limiting God to what is written. And this you do even after Jesus explained "My words are spirit." So...your definition of what "the word of God" is, is in error - it is not limited to the "written" word. But let me give you something to contemplate...

    How does God lead?

Jesus Himself did not make that distinction, nor do I. But you make a good point: The scriptures are not just a record of everything that is correct, but also of what is not correct. For this same reason Jesus had many things against the churches, as it is written in the book of Revelation.

    Personal Revelation

Where in scripture does it say you are "not allowed to believe" something that is not first written in the scriptures? Quote it? And also quote where it is in the scriptures before it was originally stated and revealed. Meanwhile, while you are searching the scriptures for those quotes that are...

When the Year of the Second Coming Will Be, the Millennial Shabbat of the Year 6000 YB, Jubilees

That's what I said. The two verses are reconciled...by Him not returning to the world ("the world see's Me know more"); but "every eye shall see Him" in death or in life. The world will see Him in death in the end, in judgement. The living see Him when they "see Him as He is, when they are like...

    Personal Revelation

I gave you the scriptures. Your's is the mumble jumble.

    How does God lead?

I am not suggesting anything, but simply stating the fact that God is true in His own description of revelations during these times - which He has clearly done in writing, in the scriptures. But that does not give license to any who contradict the scriptures. No one is saying that. But likewise...

    Personal Revelation

The correct answer in general, is: at the cross...for we "were crucified" and "raised up" with Christ. "Were" (past tense), speaking of "those who are alive and remain" (after the cross). As for Israel, they are "the dead in Christ" and died and were raised up with Him "the first who are the...

    How does God lead?

That is not a proof text about this issue: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." Paul was not setting limits on God, but...

    Personal Revelation

That's just wrong Dave. We have quoted the scriptures to you that clearly show God's spiritual revelations to NT believers...and you have refused to acknowledge them.
  14. ScottA

    Personal Revelation

The irony is...after harping on that "scripture only" drum, they don't even acknowledge what the scriptures clearly say.

    Personal Revelation

Acts 2:16 [Peter speaking] "But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel" Right! Sorry...you are so wrong. You need to go back and study some more. Good luck with that.

    How does God lead?

Sticking with the question at hand (Do the scriptures say that God only reveals things to us during this New Testament era through the scriptures?) Acts 17:11 doesn't say that. However there are many scriptures that have been given here that show without question that He reveals Himself by a...

    How does God lead?

The text doesn't say "apostles", but says "disciples", which referred to "His followers." If you couple that with John 20:23 ("Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations") it would indicate that He did not mean it for just the 12, but for all people, all nations.

When the Year of the Second Coming Will Be, the Millennial Shabbat of the Year 6000 YB, Jubilees

Indeed, every eye will see Him. But what exactly are you trying to say...that Jesus misspoke in saying "the world will see me no more?" My point, is that both passages are true, but his understanding of them (and apparently your's) cannot be reconciled by using the one passage to prove your...

    How does God lead?

Well...since you want to do things Dave's way... Prove by the scriptures, that to follow Christ one must prove everything in the scriptures. (It's not there)

    How does God lead?

You error. John 20:23 was to "disciples", to whom He also commanded, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations", which He said was by "the Holy Spirit", not by the apostles.
