I agree with lforrest and Aspen...this is just another 'rant' thread, that does nothing but stirs up bad feeling. It is not educating, entertaining, enlightening or uplifting one bit. Just one more person with a their own personal bent. Sigh. I very much doubt that it thrills God's...

@lforrest I think freedom should be that each Christian is free to hear form the Lord for themselves. Not be told what to believe and what not to believe ...but to seriously get before God and listen, in concerning their lives and what they hold as doctrine. But, Will they? do they? ...not...

Hebrews 12:1 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us..." I was just wondering today what is the besetting sin? What is...

Well I am stuck on meds. I 100% believe in healing through Jesus Christ. I fought going on meds ( high blood pressure and heart) So I didn't take them..I ended up in the ER, twice. The family insisted that I went on the meds that the doctor told me I needed. One daughter even told me.."It is...

Okay..done it..will take a better look later at his page .. He looks like the avatar of @mjrhealth :D

I hate organized religion ...and as I read the NT so did Jesus!! Why? Because those that 'called the shots' lauded it over the peons and set themselves up as the ultimate wisdom. What is wrong with that? IT TAKES THE PLACE of the Voice of the Holy Spirit of God, in a believers life. The Way...

Matt 25:31 "When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of his glory.." (Mark 2:10). But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins - (Mark 2:28). So the Son of Man is Lord even of the...

Yay!! :D Yes, we can agree on that. Something, or maybe it was how you said something...I thought we were further apart than the above. But, looks like we are closer than I first thought. We will see as time goes on. :) ( I'll tell you a little of how I function here. ie. I have tried...

@GodsGrace Most probably I wouldn't have used the phrase New faith....but Hebrews does speak of the new and living way. Heb 10. "In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may...

Only just seen this post...I think it's covered in the one I just posted to you.

Hey there. I would say The "better covenant" ...the good news being that in the old there was always needed a sacrifice for sin. In the NT Jesus is/was the last Lamb slain. Not more need of a blood sacrifice. Heb 8 "But now hath He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is...

Sometimes a post needs a bit more than a "clicking of a like button."

Good grief, don't get you knickers in a twist!! I only asked a simple question. As I read you posts on here you do not come across as just posting something. But like BOL you come across strongly posting for Catholic beliefs, yet saying you aren't one. I just wondered. With him I totally...

My question would be.. " Are there any Prophets? We know that Paul mentioned in Eph 4 ..prophets in the functions of the gifts..Apostle, prophet, teachers, evangelists etc... But I know of no real , true, proven seers in this day of ours. Many shoot their mouth off....but I trust none.

You will be getting your via California eh? We ( in Alberta Ca) are getting ours from Northern Alberta , and British Columbia. which they says is having the worst wild fires in their history. Dozens of fire now. The wind does not help!! The smoke is thick here in Alberta. Even in our houses!! :(

So, we have all "fallen for the trap" that lforrest warned us about , just another of the 'RC's v the Protestants' Threads...YAWN.... As much as I admire and respect the great and godly men who have gone before us. The quote (which I have not checked out yet) "It is the bounden duty of...

Oh wow, that took me back a few years...LOVE IT. It brought tears to my eyes. ❤️ May He always and ever be our one passionate vision. Glad you posted it.

Yes, it seems an obsession with some. I notice the GIMSY person can write about nothing else. I would have to say - a very unhealthy obsession!! :( Maybe if we didn't respond to these threads they would quit writing so many. Maybe it is US which are the problem, .... by responding! :D

Hi there Do you ever talk about anything else? You do seem somewhat obsessed by this one theme. The bible if full of many other gems too ..not just one. The only thing that should 'obsess' us is Jesus Christ...HE should be our focus. Paul said 1 Cor "For I determined not to know any thing...

Isa 9: 6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." God, Son of God, and Son of man.
