    Single-eyed Object

Yes, "there shall be two in a field, and one shall be taken, and one left." But, to be clear, as Paul explained, this does not come as a mass event, but "each in his own order."

Does anything at all exist without God?

No, that is just a misunderstanding of the term "evil." God did create "darkness", which by His definition, means "evil." Except that because He is higher than we, He is not a part of it. He is Light. But we as fallen beings living in darkness are evil by nature, because we are fallen, and...

Does anything at all exist without God?

When we pray, it is not that the outcome is not already written and therefore predestine. But rather, we simple have not experienced it yet. But things are simpler than that in reality. It is more like God asked us to decide on what and who we want to be for all of eternity, then snapped His...

Does anything at all exist without God?

Absolutely! "And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one" John 17:22

Does anything at all exist without God?

Not exactly. But kind of. He has rather "revealed" good in contrast, as an act of distinction, making "perfect" that which was already "very good" in the beginning. In doing so, what went on in the darkness was condemned by Him, to be eliminated in the judgement. As light eliminates darkness...

Does anything at all exist without God?

But...we have the mind of Christ... This is like Paul saying "we will by no means proceed those who have fallen asleep." Which all depends on the context. If we say that God is timeless and in that context we and those who have fallen asleep join Christ simultaneously, it is correct, which...

    Single-eyed Object

Not to appear unkind, but on the contrary, both the old man of flesh and the new man born again of the spirit of God are specifically said to be "created" independently. As for the man of sin...it is because you have not looked at the man of flesh and the man of spirit independently, that you...

Does anything at all exist without God?

I was referring to Aspen's post: ...specifically "God is actively creating." Which is not accurate in one respect, which is how I believe he meant it. In other words, God "did" create, then wrote it out, then revealed it, "as it is written." This is a truth that is made clear in that one little...

Does anything at all exist without God?

God's dealings with evil are not for evil, but for good. But a better way to understand "evil", is with the term "darkness", which for this purpose, is essentially the same. It is darkness that gives clarity to Light, by means of contrast. Which is God's purpose for darkness in establishing...

Does anything at all exist without God?

:) That doesn't quite fit the mechanics of it...well, except for "as it is written."

    *Just a chatting place *

Hahaha! Personally, I am not distracted by side trips of discussion, for I believe that is an additional benefit. And personal stuff that is not just throwing daggers, I should think, gives credibility to us as Christians, not just being the hard and judgmental group we are often accused of. I...

Does anything at all exist without God?

You are correct. Not that it is limited to what is seen, but also includes what is unseen. All comes under God. If it were even possible that this is not the case, it would have to be extra-godly... Which is a weird thought, and I guess we would just have to hear it from Him. That would make a...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

If you are referring to my comment of "knowing" God before I believed or had faith. It is because the well is deep...I mean 66 books and the vastness of all time and the universe, all sealed in the twinkling of an eye in a spiritual experience that prior to having it, was completely foreign to...

ScottA and Tigger 2 discuss Who is God?

It is not that I cannot or do not use the scriptures, but rather that they are subject to the confounding placed upon all language by God at the tower of Babel. Thus, the difficulty in communication. Nonetheless, my source of truth and that of the scriptures is the same. But the scriptures must...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

We either know God by personal contact, or by confirmation made available by the Spirit. In my case, I was taken up in the spirit and then confirmation came first by His word, and then with spiritual dealings and revelations. For me, I "knew" God before I believed or had faith. In the case of...

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

That "difference" is everything. It all depends on who one serves. The worst day of knowing God as Lord, is better than the best day of knowing God as an enemy.

Good - I can't get the thought of ice cream out of my mind. I am convinced that manna was ice cream - pure heaven! :)

ScottA and Tigger 2 discuss Who is God?

On the contrary, I have had no indoctrination of men, but God alone. Before I knew God I found myself in a downward spiral of failure I cannot claim: I was a victim of crime and of other forms of evil and eventual through a process of elimination began turning to and talking to a god I did not...

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

I hear ya. But He did say, "Ye are My witnesses", and "Go into all the world and make disciples." But you are right, the whole thing can be pretty cliche.

The Bible is more a record of those who "know", than those who "believe."

Yeah, I think it is most important for seekers and new believers to understand this. Otherwise it's just like shopping for what sounds good. Christians, in time, do get to "know" also, even if they first begin in faith...that faith is rewarded with knowledge from God.
