So reluctant are you to admit truth you did not have before the conversation began. I care what words mean. Post #239 says what needed to be said. Make a blessed day!

"A" name is not what we are talking about. We are not talking about name calling and claiming that is legitimate. We are talking about THE name of a person. By definition, there is only one. This is the purpose of the definite article, 'the.'

No. Untrue. People may have aliases but only have one name. The importance of one's name is throughout the Bible. Jacob renamed Israel, Simon, renamed Peter. And Adam naming all the animals. The importance of this was stated well by Buddha. The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their...

Again, change in subject. You will not find too many posts of me disparaging denominations. So indignant are you about forced to accept that Christianty is a cult, you are now engaging in the politics of personal destruction, attacking me personally. Anything to change the subejct.

Change in subject. When I identify Christians as a cult, I am going back to the definition - NOT attaching the negative connotation you do. Perhaps you are equating negative connotations initiate to reacting to it?

All this identity disorder stuff with sexuality is causing confusion. To be something IS to DO something. It is nonsense to say, "I am a hockey player" but I don't actually practice or play hockey." Same with anything else. The expression is appropriate, Come to Jesus. It requires a delta of...

I like their Fish Filet. That's about it.

I'm sorry @Adventageous but I am not tracking with you. How about A to B comparison? NWT text reads X. It should read Y based on the translation Z. Then I can understand what you are saying.

Hmmm. Not quite. We are not to worship images we make. See the difference? Denying cultural appropriation again. Sad.

Truth doesn't depend on majority vote. Christianity is a cult and it is the world's largest cult. So, it is funny when Christian cultists say other Christian denominations are cults. They are disparaging their brother's and sister in Christ for no reason. It's just a non-value added smear that...

No. Despite the subjective connotation, there remains the objective denotation, to which Christianity applies.

I’m telling you fact. Look up the definition and understand how it is true. Your knee jerk reaction is only because ‘cult’ has a negative connotation. How does that shoe fit?

Ergo, Christianity is the worlds largest cult.

Sadly you disregarded the rest of my question, of the Scripture FOR.

Putting aside denominational bickering, anyone care to provide the strongest Scripture verse FOR and AGAINST abortion?

Can’t agree. I’ve made the point in several threads now that we are many things, not just one thing. I’m a worker, father, husband, son, neighbor, worker, tennis player, etc. There is not one correct answer to what I am.

I take it as a given that every one beliefs their religious beliefs are correct. What bother's me is the broad net that other beliefs necessarily mean one is condemned/damned/can't be saved/not born again or whatever term you want to use. I try to interpret Scripture very narrowly on who it...

That's sad. I go to a non-denominational church. The Pastors admit that even they do not know what all the doctrines are of all the other denominations to form an opinion of them being wrong. They add that they are led by the Spirit to spread the word in the manner they have. I appreciate that...

wouldn't it be funny if it were any other church? The Denomination-X church holds that the Denomination-Y church is the one true church.

I understand. The common denominator is many KJV-only folks is that only those who read that translation are right, etc.
