    Why water into wine?

News Flash: Salvation wasn't his first priority either. Not according to what HE preached... What WAS His first priority? Maybe "first priority" isn't the right terminology. Sorry.

Baptism by desire. Know that. But that would mean that the only way I could not be baptised AND be lost is if I refused to be baptised. Why would anyone born from above insist on NOT being baptised? Maybe because he's not born from above? Jesus did say to baptise in the name of the Father...

    Why water into wine?

Funny. Sometimes I take 3 steps ahead... and 1 back. I thoughtI had evil figured out. After about 10 years or so, I found I didn't! Still don't. Never will.

    Why water into wine?

Spirit is analogeous to fire, not water. No? or wind or a dove Water? Do you consider John 3:5 to be baptism by water or physical Birth? We receive the Holy Spirit through water, But I cannot recall where He is symbolised as water...

    Why water into wine?

How about drinking some water at a good Church? Where real theologians have kind of figured things out. And what does "don't find love until you are ready" mean? It wasn't Jesus time. Time for what? Stop being so mysterious!

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Where does it say he will arise out of the Christian Church? And why the Pope? I don't know too much about this but I do know that it's very unlikely that ANYTHING will come out of Rome. It's not efficient or organized enough.

    Why water into wine?

I have to leave now. But I've studied this carefully and even spoken to priests about this (I have some priest friends) and I just can't seem to get there. If you have anything other than Corinthians or even Mccabees, I'd be interested in hearing it.

    Why water into wine?

I do have to say that purgatory is a big poblem for me. Does it not mean that the sacrifice of Jesus is not sufficient?

    Why water into wine?

My point is that JESUS IS THE WORD. Sometimes we treat the bible like the bible is GOD. See? I'm sorry some are anti-Catholic. Some call Catholicism a cult. That's pretty crazy since it's Catholicism that kept heresies out of the early Church. If it wasn't for the C C there wouldn't be any...

I kind of dislike your attitude, although I DO understand why since you're so attacked. However, the post is excellent.

    Why water into wine?

I wish Catholics wouldn't put down Protestants and Protestants wouldn't put down Catholics. We're all just trying to serve God the best way we can. We should keep Jesus Always in mind and not quibble over things. Do we think God is Catholic? Or of any other denomination? Who cares what books...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

This is crazy. First of all anti Christ means ANTI CHRIST. AGANIST CHRIST. NOT Take The Place of Christ. And what makes you think the Pope is against Jesus? And what, exactly, makes you think He's the anti-Christ? I have it on good understandig that the anti-Christ will be coming out of...

    Why water into wine?

I would say that the jars that held water for purification were used to make the wie. I'd say that Jesus is the ULTIMATE PURIFICATION. Some will say that the water refers to the Word, but I can't say that -- it seems to go Beyond what is written. But Jesus does make THE BEST WINE available to...

    Why water into wine?

Reading commentaries may not be the best thing to do. It was not His time yet. Which time? The time for Him to begin His ministry or the time for Him to die? It's opinion. I Always thought for His Ministry.

    Why water into wine?

I do wish to repeat that Jesus DID NOT disrespect His mother. Woman - was a common reference to women back then. Jesus respected women more than any. He spoke to the Samaritan woman. He hung out with Magdelene. He ate with harlots. etc. I hope you realize that women were treated much worse at...
