    Proof that Jesus is God

Oy vey! The Word in John 1 is (the word of) God not Jesus. Reading 1 Samuel 15 today. The LORD's commands to utterly destroy all the Amalekites is a a great character difference. 3 I want you to go down against Amalek and destroy them, everything they have. Do not allow anything to survive...

Planning on getting a new Bible today. Is the KJV necessary?

If that is your budget, obsolete KJV is all your likely to find. I’m so glad I waited to get the CEV. It came out in 1995 and is a thought translation targeted for 8th grade reading level. Of course, it is too new to be discounted.

Planning on getting a new Bible today. Is the KJV necessary?

Myth. The KJV has its day in the sun. It’s time has come and gone. We don’t speak Middle English anymore.

Planning on getting a new Bible today. Is the KJV necessary?

For easy reading, I love the CEV.

    Proof that Jesus is God

Not authority, Circular Reasoning. JFK Jr is alive because he has to be alive. Again, John 1:1 does not even refer to Jesus or have Jesus in the sentence.

    Proof that Jesus is God

A deliberate trinitarian mistranslation as it is STILL figurative language referring to God, not Jesus. It is A deliberate trinitarian mistranslation as John 6:60 translates the same Greek word as “this” in referring to word.

    Proof that Jesus is God

No. A word is spoken by a who. Check the dictionary. John 1 says it?! Sad Appeal to Circular Reasoning.

Christians Must Serve by the Law

Interesting translation ... Romans 3:31 The Voice 31 So are we trying to use faith to abolish the law? Absolutely not! In fact, we now are free to uphold the law as God intended.

Christians Must Serve by the Law

Please re-write this without pronouns. I don't understand what the 'it's' refer to. Thanks!

Christians Must Serve by the Law

Here is where kcnalp is a troll; completely ignoring the valid part of your sentence ... be harmless like doves.

I know. It's just that I do not think your response were as insightful as mine. :)

Christians Must Serve by the Law

Hmmm. How does this align with Jeremiah 31:33?

Christians Must Serve by the Law

I think it is more that we should not violate the law as a general rule. The exception is when the letter violates the Spirit, such as lying to protect innocent lives.

Christians Must Serve by the Law

Didn't you mean that Grace is established by faith?

Christians Must Serve by the Law

Sin. Serve. Not the same. If we keep to the subject of sin, what does living under Grace mean with respect to acceptable actions as they pertain to the 10 Commandments? My Bible Study leader is fond of saying it is all about God's glory. Lying is generally bad but if it advances God's glory it...

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

By what means did the thief on the cross enter into the kingdom?

    Question no Protestant can answer

Like I said, a human invention untied to Scripture. See 1 Corinthians 11:3.

Christians Must Serve by the Law

Great points! Regarding point 1; too many Christians do not reflect Grace. Certainly, they do not reflect humility and love. One of the best ways to show this is how the violate the law. The law was needed when we were immature. IMO, Jesus' command to love, though a higher command, is also...

Christians Must Serve by the Law

You do like to troll. The point of the OP is in line with Jesus saying he has not come to abolish the law. As one church put it, Jesus commands us to fulfill the law IN A SPIRIT OF LOVE. It’s not that it is OK to now murder, it is that you have accepted through faith divinity within you and...
