    What purpose does it serve?

I think the problem is that some women do NOT know what respecting and submitting to their husbands means... Cases of abuse of Christian men by their wives is a prevalent phenomenon I believe. Most people don't get abusive when you do what they want. See arrest by police with and without being...

    What purpose does it serve?

I'm not sure of the full context of your statement but I wanted to give you some encouragement. I watched an outstanding set of video's during a week long seminar on marriage. One day covered the responsibilities of the man. The next day covered the responsibilities of the woman. The pastor...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

You do realize ‘can be’ is mere potential and not at all the same as ‘is the case.’ If it were, then universalism is correct doctrine.

    1 Peter 2:24 = Hebrews 13:8

You do realize a prerequisite to sitting at the right hand of God is that being cannot be God, right?

We covered this already. An exclamation is not a statement of fact. If someone shows me their cracked and non-functional cell phone and I say, “oh crap” that does not mean I am declaring the cell phone to be crap.

To quote a great song; if you can’t be with the ones you love, love the ones you are with.

    Once Saved Always Saved

I do recall reading that. I forget the term but it is possible to sin but not know it is a sin. This is different from knowing something is a sin and doing it anyway.

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Mock all you want. In my devotional reading this morning from Deuteronomy, Moses talked about the Israeli's having more children than 'stars in the heavens.' It's just a figure of speech. Later in the same book he talks about God 'utterly destroying' a group of people but in the very next verse...

    Once Saved Always Saved

What you quote does not support your contention.

How did you come to understand this?

    Once Saved Always Saved

I don't know who 'we' is but no one is saying the gift of salvation has been taken back by God. Abandoned by the one who may have previously had it, is more accurate.

Does it concern you that gospels were written so many years after Jesus died?

    I disagree. Satan's best weapon = deception.

    Once Saved Always Saved

We are saved the moment we accept the Savior. Sanctification is the process that may never end.

    The Case Against the Trinity

In another thread, the debater was perfectly willing to concede Acts 17:31 identify the fact that Jesus is a man that God raised. (Of course, trinitarians do not feel nailed down in admitting Jesus was a man due to duality; he was man and non-man.) Silence ensued when I pointed out that Acts...

No. Jesus is no kind of God. The resurrected Jesus talked about going to his God, the only God, in John 20:17 and Revelations 3.

From a certain POV, that is correct. However, in each case the grace of Jesus is the sole mechanism for salvation, IMO. He is the Savior. This means, he is the one doing the saving. I look at it like this. Humanity is damned, by default. Now, on Judgment Day, Jesus asks what is our get out of...

It is figurative. The temple is not the temple.

What is your answer? By the sheep’s obedience?
