‘The Eighth Day’

Fragment Fasti Praenestini of the Market week – ‘Nundinum’

has

‘G’ -first day of the (market) week 3rd April [Seventh Day]

‘F’ -second day of the (market) week 4th April [First Day]

‘E’ -third day of the (market) week 5th April [Second Day]

‘D’ -fourth day of the (market) week 6th April [Third Day]

‘C’ -fifth day of the (market) week 7th April [Fourth Day]

‘B’ -sixth day of the (market) week 8th April [Fifth Day]

‘A’ -seventh day of the (market) week 9th April [Sixth Day]

‘H VIII’ –‘Eighth Day’ of the (market) week 10th April [Seventh Day]

[[The word ‘week’ may sound a little like

Welsh ‘wythnos’ ‘an eight-nights’ starting and ending with the night of the same day-of-the-week, night starting and ending seven days

Welsh ‘pythefnos’/‘fortnight, ‘an fifteen-nights’ starting and ending with the night of the same day-of-the-week, night starting and ending fifteen days,

but more can scarcely be made of the semblance in sound that partially exists.]]

in the case of the bible a week means what it is to the Jewish people, children of Israel. representing the Creator and Judge is their God. who created everything is 6 days that are days to the Lord God and rested the seventh as attested by the Lord God.

as far as looking into the eighth, such as the day of circumcision and the day of Passover Jesus was risen is a subject that could mean another day is coming as far as God sees it, or even one has started when Jesus arose.

a clue can be: is the Word of God at rest? is the Holy Spirit at rest? I'd say not, then the seventh day could be over. and evening which would be now seeing that the world is in darkness and morning when Jesus returns the Light will shine that none do sin any more. of which those in the Light will be separate from those in darkness and that is very much like the first day.

The purpose and fulfilment of that true rest represented by the ancient Sabbath, lies in the Lord’s resurrection {. Hence}, by the very day that brought the shadows to an end…. John Calvin, Institutes 1:399-400

Before the Christian era there was known only this cycle of days of 8 days, the ‘Nundinum’.

The eighth day, that is, the first day after the Sabbath and the Lord’s Day” - Cyprian, Bishop of Carthage Epistle 58, section 4, SEEMS TO FIT IN AS DAY ‘F’ in the market week, the second day of the (market) week which in the Market-week (once upon a time) fell on the 4th of April and coincided with the “First Day” of the creation week. WHICH DOES NOT MAKE IT A LAW IT ALWAYS DID AND EVEN LESS A LAW, IT ALWAYS WOULD (in the Christian era).

And that makes all the Church fathers’ identification of the Lord’s Day and the ‘Eighth Day’ unsurpassable stupidity. Shame on Christianity for insulting the Lord Jesus with such satanic indulgence!

Early Christians believed the "eighth day" was never-ending and represented eternal life.
