the armor of God is something to be put on number one, and makes a perfect contrast to the war is already won, Bc...Bc that hides wisdom from the wise i guess, and also strangely describes leaving the world, which doing literally will cause you to stop struggling, after several shots hopefully not directly to the head lol.
If you wanna start an Armore of God thread i can come ruin that for you guys

At the time that this commission was given to the eleven disciples, the door of the Kingdom was not opened to the gentiles. That did not happen until approx. ten years later (Acts 10). By then the twelve had preached in Jerusalem, then in Judaea, then in Samaria according to the instruction of the Lord in Acts 1:8.

'But ye shall receive power,
after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto Me
.. both in Jerusalem,
.... and in all Judaea,
...... and in Samaria,
........ and unto the uttermost part of the earth.'

Trying to keep it simple.

The command to preach to all the world was given right before the crucifixion.

They were aware that they were supposed to preach to Jew and Gentile alike.

Contrary to what some say the transition from mosaic law to the church was instant at the resurrection.

The apostles understood it.

They sent out 60 disciples to assist in the work.

Prophecy said the gospel would be preach to the whole world before the rapture.

So it seems pretty clear from the resurrection on the mission was to preach to everyone.

Yes, Christ came for the Jews only. But he never told the apostles Jews only.

He did not turn them loose on the world until just before the crucifixion.

So I see this very clear mission of every Christian is to spread the gospel in what ever way is appropriate to their gift of the Holy Spirit and his guide.

A teacher in the classroom is spreading the gospel. A missionary spreads the gospel. A coworker at work spreads the gospel.

Remember the foolish Galatians? The apostle said: who has led you astray from the simplicity of trust? Let me ask you a question - did you receive the Holy Spirit through trust? Yes Paul also said that what was written aforetime was written for our learning.
We are to learn from the account of Noah but what he told nosh is not for us. we are not expected to build an ark.

I showed what the subject was that Jesus began with in His Olivet discourse per Matthew 24:3. Your argument was moot after I showed that Matthew 24 Scripture.

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
He is stating the same thing as in Mk 13. He’s prophesying the coming destruction of the Jerusalem and the temple. It is plain and clear. Only the spiritually blinded will not see it.
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
They asked him the same question except in this account they added at the end about the end of the world. He then proceeds to answer there question. The first 30 or so verses are parallel to first 30 or so verses in Mk. It is the same message.

Is the war within each person won already? I would say, NOT. Some will say they have already won, but some have not yet begun to fight and some only just begun. While there is time there is war, and for whom among us is there no more time? My parents have completed their fight and are gone, but I still fight battles, perhaps daily. Why does Paul write, I die daily, if the flesh and the ways of the flesh are already finally and completely dead for anyone who is NOT already an overcomer like Jesus? When is this verse true for any one person?

"And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:" Rev 10:6

Is it not for each one when his/her allotted time in finished without regard to any possible end of mankind as a whole?
