The judge
agreed they had a right to free speech, but he instructed them that their
right to free speech does not grant them a right to be heard.
That should have gone to a higher court. The right to free speech does indeed give people the right to be heard.

The 1st Amendment gives Christians the right to speak the word of God even if the persons hearing it do not want to hear it.

If the right to not hear something trumps the right of the speaker to speak it, then the right to free speech is not really given as a right. The other person's right to not hear effectively squelches the right of the person with the gospel message to speak it to them.

Nevertheless it is written,

2Co 4:13, We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Therefore our freedom to speak forth the gospel message is tied up in our freedom of religion. Our faith requires us to speak, we are compelled by the love of Christ to tell others the good news that will save their souls; and if they don't want to hear it, we consider that they are like the blind man walking towards a cliff who does not want to hear that he is about to step into his demise: we tell them anyway because love requires that we save their lives. In fact, if the man will not hear us, we may even be compelled to tackle him, it is that important.

2Co 5:13, For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
2Co 5:14, For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
2Co 5:15, And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
