I was just wondering what people think. Scientific studies indicate that this is going to happen. According to their studies if it happens, it's building up to that instant.

The way I read what you explained was that they suggested a 'gradual' matter, like it had already started. That idea still does not align with God's Word.

Study the Old Testament prophets about the events of the "day of the Lord". The only areas in the New Testament that points to it is with Apostle Paul in 1 Thess.5 about the "sudden destruction", and the end of Hebrews 12 about God's consuming fire, and the 2 Peter 3 example of God's consuming fire.

In the prophets, God revealed that consuming fire event, the "sudden destruction", will be a surprise upon the world, happening at an instant. This is why Apostle Paul referred to the event as being "sudden" in 1 Thess.5. It is also linked with what Paul taught in 1 Corinthians 15 with the 'change' "at the twinkling of an eye" on the "last trump".

Thus a gradual... warming, simply will not fit that coming 'surprise' to happen upon the whole world at an instant.
