Dinosaur bones found buried alongside modern animals and plants and no one informed - via google see www.TheGrandExperiment.com / living fossils/part 2 by Dr.Carl Werner - hopefully the last of the cover ups and an end to evolution nonsense - winc
Oh great! Another "cover up"! Another conspiracy theory! whoopie

Dr.Carl Werner is an MD who practices family medicine not a paleontologist who has devoted his life to a career doing work in the field for which he has been properly trained.

The totality of his "research" is comparing photographs of fossils and dioramas found in natural history museums, which his wife took, and asking real paleontologists if they ever find modern plants and animals along side extinct specimens at their digs.

Real science is done by collecting the data first and then letting the data determine the conclusion. That's not what the family doctor did. He started with his conclusion of a young earth and no evolution and went out to find data which appears to supported it. Then he wrote a book and went on the lecture tour.

Dr. Carl Werner is hardly an authority to be cited. The only biology he ever studied was the prerequisite, undergraduate courses for medical school.

But he makes good money selling his books and lecturing to gullible Christians who do not have the education or training to challenge his methods.

He provides yet another example of why people who have training and knowledge in the field and who have actually done the science are turned off by Christianity which they perceive requires one to check one's brain at the door of the church in order to be a believer. A person with a scientific education will often find him/herself in the dilemma of having to deny scientifically determined facts or denying their faith based on the misconception that Genesis chapter 1 is natural history written by God.

Advocates of Young Earth Creationism see evolution and astrophysics (which gives us the 13.5 billion year old universe) as the devil's tool to cause people to loose their faith. I see young earth creationism as a tool of the devil used to make Christianity look so stupid that educated people will stay away.

Did God create the heavens and the earth an all the plants and animals and man? Most assuredly He did.

Did He do it all in six days less than 10,000 years ago? I think not.

So burn me at the stake.

The thing that is the most irritating is that people like Newton would be shocked to hear Christians denounce science.

And Newton was a Christian and a scientist. The two are NOT mutually exclusive.

Yes science is just another religion, and it like religion buries the truth when it deems it necessary to do so.

Science is not a religion, it does not worship a deity or a supernatural thing.

Gracious me, you really love to use religion like an obscenity. I wonder what other words are like curses to you?

"Science investigates; religion interprets. Science gives man knowledge which is power; religion gives man wisdom which is control. Science deals mainly with facts; religion deals mainly with values.

The two are not rivals. They are complementary.

Science keeps religion from sinking into the valley of crippling irrationalism and paralyzing obscurantism. Religion prevents science from falling into the marsh of obsolete materialism and moral nihilism."

Photos can be easily made on the internet and cannot be fully trusted. It is wise and good for believers to stay away from conspiracy theories of any sort. Here is a short devotion I did this on topic:

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed. – Psalm 2:2
Conspiring nations, conspiracy theories, thoughts of what is coming upon the world and who is behind it. There has never been a lack of those who have wondered greatly into areas of the unknown, questioning and accusing those they think are involved in great evil. The bible does clearly speak in many places of world leaders, rulers, being used to hurt the people of God, and even as alluded to in Psalm 2 that leaders in the world are conspiring against God himself. With this being true and not wrong in itself to think of, some find it fascinating and get caught up in wondering about things to a place of idleness and sin. The early believers had an anticipation of the Lord’s coming, the emperors of Rome were usually quite viciously against the Christian testimony, but instead of many conspiracy theories being created they simply obeyed the Lord’s commands to be disciples and preach the Good News. We should be happy as our Lord was on earth not to know even the day or hour (Acts 1:7) but simply obey the Lord, step by step. Conspiracy theories cater fear and uncertainty but the Lord has called us not to have a “spirit of fear” but of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Repent to the Lord if you have filled your mind with conspiracies, myths, and other useless things. Keep your mind on what is true in the Scriptures, love others in the Church and in the world. Give yourself to the work of the Lord in sharing the Gospel and doing good deeds (James 3:13).
It is very true that the antichrist will “He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped” (2 Thessalonians 2:4). But that should not be our message of the Gospel, rather we should preach the forgiveness of sins (Luke 24:47) to all people groups of the world. Sadly many of those who spend multiplied hours talking and studying conspiracy theories in the Bible, do not pray or witness much in their lives. They are zealous to share their theories and ideas to other believers but have little burden to share the person of Jesus Christ with others. We are called to set our minds on things above (Colossians 3:2) and to put our minds on what is pure and right (Philippians 4:8). When we delve into many of the hidden dark things of evil men of the world, there is an impurity and unwholesomeness that can come over us. The early Apostles did not want to understand the hidden demonic teaching secrets of Gnostics or Simonians but rather wanted to preach the Gospel, and teach believers to obey the commands of the Lord (Matthew 28:18-20). There are currently hidden wicked things in this earth, that are beyond thinking and would cause us to shudder. The antichrist will be revealed, “the shaft of the Abyss” (Revelation 9:2) will be opened releasing imprisoned demons. But may we focus on the Lord Jesus Christ, preach his Gospel, seek to know Him more. Soon we will see him in the clouds. Come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:20).

But may we focus on the Lord Jesus Christ, preach his Gospel, seek to know Him more. Soon we will see him in the clouds. Come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:20).
Revelation 14:6 ¶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The above 3 messages symbolically being preached by angels, are in fact what comprises the gospel the church ought to be preaching in the context of these last days. This "everlasting gospel" includes a dire warning for all peoples to beware of a false religion (Babylon) which enforces a form of worship (the mark) which brings upon those who accept same will suffer the wrath of God, in direct contradistinction to them who "keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus". I think it is extremely vital that we know who Babylon is, what the mark is, and how to avoid it, and to share that information with anyone willing to listen.

On another note, I would suggest that no matter how evil a conspiracy theory is, however deeply entrenched in society it may be, whoever it may involve no matter how powerful they may be, no matter how dangerous they may be to our future wellbeing, I think that we can be assured that the truth is in fact 10 times worse. I also believe that scripture does not deal with theories. It deals with truth. We can know from scripture who the Antichrist is. We can know from scripture what the mark of the beast is. We can know from scripture how to avoid being deceived by them. The problem is not with the people who are teaching the truth...the problem is with the people who like the Israelites of old, (Exodus 33,34) refuse to hear from God and try to gag those preachers by putting the veil back on their faces because they don't want to understand truth. They would rather listen to their priests and pastors rather than God.

What utter rubbish! How does Psalm 2:2 prove that Christains should stay away from consipracy theories "of any sort"? The verse in question deals with ONE conspiracy - the one that "conspiring nations" banded together in order to go against "the Lord and his anointed"!

Is it with creationism that "conspiring nations" are attacking the Lord and his anointed??? Do the "kings of the earth" support creationism.. or evolution?

Come on man, wake up!

...following a Jewish carpenter...
Fevvinsake. There is no controversy whatsoever between God and science. None.
After all, God invented science in the first place.
Does anyone really think that the Bible was ever meant to be a science text book? Why would God, in His wisdom, give us a technical manual on "HowTo Create Your Own Universe In Just Six Days"...much less "How To Create Man"? How silly!
You would think that we would learn from history. How the church fought against Galileo, and his novel idea that the earth revolved around the sun! Of course, everyone knew that the earth was the center of the universe!
Except, of course, it turned out that Galileo was right all along.
And, you know...God just kept right on being God anyway.

It's about time the church got a grip and realized...science can never "discover" anything that God didn't put there in the first place.

Oh, and while we're at it, those silly scientists also need to get a grip. They will never, ever find any physical "evidence" for the existence of God, because God is not a physical entity.
Evolution, whether it is true or not, doesn't matter a hill of beans. Even if science ever manages to create life in the laboratory, still doesn't matter. All that will have been proven is...hey, God really did start with "the dust of the ground"...how 'bout that?
Wake me, when science has figured out how to create it's own "dust" from scratch....
