For the hidden power of lawlessness is already at work. However, the one who holds him back will do so until he is taken out of the way, and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy by the breath of his mouth and wipe out by the manifestation of his arrival. The arrival of the lawless one will be by Satan’s working with all kinds of miracles and signs and false wonders, and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved. Consequently God sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false.

We can see this happening in the world all around us, but people don't perceive of the spiritual nature and influences that are causing the phenomena....

Just as we are too be able to give areason for our hope, faith etc.
So it is also worth asking people, where do you get that belief from?

People.e/society holds to ideas, believes that orginiate from the judeochristian world view.
There world view of atheism/evolution etc does not support these views and it is a means to get them to start thinking.

That’s the key alright. Getting folks to think on these things.

By definition, the "lie" against (anti) Christ, was the lie against what Christ said about His own "coming." Thus, the "coming" of anti-Christ is the consequence, which as it is written, was already at work way back then.

But what consequence and lie in the context of "coming" could have already been at work back then, if the interpretation were not also back then, but future? Do you not see that in order for the consequence to have begun way back then, the lie would have also had to have begun back then, meaning none of this was only "future" as so many have believed.

I submit therefore, regarding the "coming" of Christ and the "coming" of anti-Christ being only "future"--is that "lie."

Some good folks claim to know who the man of sin is, the son of perdition mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

Some are so lost as to suppose Christ is the anti-Christ. I've heard is said for decades that Christ could not win an election today.
Thank God. The motivation for being elected these days is for power and/or money. Christ couldn't win because he's perfect.

If you only knew.

No, the "son of perdition" is the son born of him who first sinned, from whom has come many sons and daughters.
