ACTS 10:44...
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord..
.

Acts skippers can forbid water.

They do it daily.

Thank God they were nowhere to be found back then, huh?

Yes! And here is why...

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Amen, the water skippers are the same bunch that failed the water test with Gideon and were sent home.;)

The water birth is essential...

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

....which we are born of, and made free from sin.

I figured out why Acts skippers hate water...they fear being buried with Christ alive.

They are claustrophobic.

One person posted on this thread, something like he is deathly afraid of having "wet hair"
perhaps he can borrow his wife's shower cap?

Isn't being trapped in hell with devils (which HATE mankind) and having no escape, far worse than hating water?

That is not true to be precise, because Jesus said to be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. If you are claiming it must be done in the name of Jesus, you are making Jesus out a liar. In addition to that, the thief on the cross was not baptized, and there were believers in Acts that received the Holy Ghost baptism and spoke in tongues before they were baptized, and that will not happen to an unsaved person. The Holy Spirit came upon them when they believed.

Great post!!

Matthew is not the only account of the Great Commission...

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Here are scriptures of baptism in Jesus name...

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Acts 8:16 "(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the NAME of the Lord Jesus)."

Acts 19:5 "When they heard this, they were baptized in the NAME of the Lord Jesus."

Now please show me scripture where ANYONE was baptized using the words, "Father, Son, Holy Ghost"

Acts 8:14-17, "Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. These two went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit. (For the Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on the Samaritans, and they received the Holy Spirit."

You are contradicting your oft-repeated doctrine!!! They had "only" been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus; they had not yet received the Holy Spirit! This happened only after Peter and John laid their hands on them.

Like this?...

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Read my previous post #1550. It proves your doctrine to be false.

Don't you think it is cool to post the passages and not skip the baptism parts?

BloodBought1953 is correct; you are wrong (as usual). You're like a scratched record, repeating the same "tune" over and over and over, but still not making any sense.

So, Acts teaches this....

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

...and "Trans teachers" teach it TRANSITIONS to, "all you have to do is ask", and you are saved, forfeiting Peter's answer in verse 38.

This is an Acts skipper admitting that they did away with Acts 2:38.

BORING!!!

There’s no Fool like an obstinate Fool....” Falser” parades His Biblical Ignorance as if it were a Virtue...it’s sad, actually.....I’m searching the Scriptures to see if we are commanded to pray for Jackasses....so far, I am coming up empty...

Great post! He is obviously confused, but more than that, he parrots the same nonsense over and over and over ... ad nauseum!

Then he will love water.

Water can put his fire out prematurely.
