Woe to freewillians (including Armenians) who fabricate freewill opinions opposite to scripture in order to pridefully justify their choice of their false god while trying to snatch the One True God's exclusive glory in salvation (Isaiah 42:8, John 15:16, John 6:37)!

Prior posted 'woe to you free willers' (in this thread)

The Word of God, quoted in the following links, reveals that freewill is a treacherously rebellious and damnable lie.

These posts of this thread remain true, accurate, legitimate, legal, and Godly:

    - "The Righteous Sovereignty Of God Post" (in this thread)

    - "The Audience Of Lord Jesus For John 14:16 And John 15:16 Are All Dicsiples In All Time Post" (in this thread)

    - "The Logic Statement (IF/THEN) Eliminating Any Question Of The Audience For The Supper Recorded In John Chapters 13-17 Being All Disciples In All Time Post" (in this thread)

    - "(1) The Twelve mentioned in Matthew 26:20 et. al. does not indicate "only" the twelve, (2) Lord Jesus indicates that the content of John chapters 13-17 applies to all His disciples of all time according to His words recorded in John 17:20, and (3) the "you" in John 14:16 as well as the "you" in John 15:16 referring to all the disciples of Jesus in all time because of the about 120 recorded in Acts 1:15 and Acts 2:1-4 being indwelt by the Holy Spirit as well as the people at Cornelius' place recorded in Acts 10:44 being indwelt by the Holy Spirit"

    - "The Repentance Is From God Not Conjured Up In Man By Man Post" (in this thread)

The Wonderful Lord Jesus says "you did not choose Me, but I chose you" (John 15:16), and Jesus, Who is Lord, says "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever" (John 14:16), and Jesus, my Lord and my God, speaks these things to all His sheep of all time, and He has chosen we believers and He has given us believers the Holy Spirit!

    LOL

    Your response to:

    Eph 4
    [4] There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

    2 Pet 1
[10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

    John 10
[7] Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

    Luke 11
[10] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

    1 Thes 1
[4] Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

    Lie.

    Outrageous Lie.

    Outrageous Lie.

Uh huh...You should stop lying like your father and consider Choosing Jesus...

A person must have the Holy Spirit to see that the Word of God as presented in my posts is True, True, and True. You say you chose Jesus, but Lord Jesus said you cannot choose Him (John 15:16). That puts you in the category about lying about the Word of God!

Lord Jesus said "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day" (John 12:48).

    Hi Taken,,,,
I won't be a part of this discussion with the other member....
However, I did have a thought on this.

Did Jesus say from the cross.
FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO.
    Luke 23:34

Is Jesus saying here that GOD didn't know what HE was doing because
those that killed Jesus carried out God's orders?? (since God predestinated everything!)

    Interesting, isn't it?

You appear to have forgotten about the devil, and what those people did to Jesus . Please read the posts at the top of this page, GodsGrace. There is great meaning in "you did not choose Me, but I chiose you" (John 15:16).

One) You left out A LOT which in your attempt to twist and distort scripture. Joshua NEVER states that the people can choose the One True God - Joshua only presents the people with two choices false gods on one side of the river or the other false gods. Here is the entire quote "If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:15).

Two) Old Covenant not New Covenant

Three) already covered previously, please see the top post on this page 51.

Four) thw way you try to override Lord Jesus' words shows great contempt for the Word of God!

Five) Jesus, Lord and God (John 20:28), said "you did not choose Me, but I chose you" (John 15:16).

Forgiveness is taught, to forgive a "brother".
Jesus' brotherhood was with Jews. All Jews are in alliance as "brothers".
    Jews called for his crucifixion.
Jews had a law against blasphemy...the penalty death...the accusation Pharisees lodged Against Jesus.
But Jews had no authority to carry out their law of killing a man....thus they solicited the Romans to find Jesus guilty of "SOMETHING"..
The Romans found NO Fault in Jesus.
It was a yearly Roman law that allowed the Jews a Jewish prisoner exchange, that the Jews called for a trade of Barabas to be released and Jesus to be killed.

After Jesus' crucifixion...any Gentile that becomes crucified with Christ, is thereafter in alliance as "a brother" to Jesus, and with others crucified with Christ...
    without regard to Jewish heritage.

God provides the Path and Timing...
Jesus was Sent for his FLESH to be KILLED.
And the Timing was according to Gods election....Remember, the garden...the street confrontations whereby men wanted to stone Jesus right there and then..? Nope, not some insignificant back ally death for Jesus...
Jesus' Crucifixion was a BIG Event.

    Glory to God,

And woe to those who manufacture their on theology and their own gospel.

To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isa 8:20)

This is an excellent point because it was always believed that man had free will to choose God or not to choose God.

Not until 1,500 years after Jesus died did the idea come to man that perhaps we do not have free will. So was the church wrong for all that time!

The Early Theologians BELIEVED IN FREE WILL....

Clement of Rome (died circa 99 AD) (Tradition has identified him with the Clement who is mentioned in Philippians 4:3, who would have thus known Peter and Paul personally. He was the third or fourth bishop of Rome.) ‘For no other reason does God punish the sinner either in the present or future world, except because He knows that the sinner was able to conquer but neglected to gain the victory.’ (Clement of Rome, Recognitions 111. 23, V. 8, IX. 30.)

The Epistle of ‘Mathetes’ to Diognetus (date 1st – 2nd century, once attributed to Justin Martyr) (The true author is unknown, as ‘Mathetes’ was not a proper name but means ‘a disciple.’ Possibly he was a disciple of the apostles, because of this comment: ‘I do not speak of things strange to me, nor do I aim at anything inconsistent with right reason; but having been a disciple of the Apostles, I am become a teacher of the Gentiles’ - chapter 11, verse 1) ‘As a king sends his son, who is also a king, so sent He Him; as God He sent Him; as to men He sent Him; as a Saviour He sent Him, and as seeking to persuade, not to compel us; for violence has no place in the character of God. As calling us He sent Him, not as vengefully pursuing us; as loving us He sent Him, not as judging us.’

(Epistle to Diognetus, chapter 7, verse 4) ‘And do not wonder that a man may become an imitator of God. He can, if he is willing.’

(Epistle to Diognetus, chapter 10) Ignatius of Antioch (30 – 107 AD, traditionally held to be a disciple of the Apostle John) ‘ ...and there is set before us life upon our observance [of God's precepts], but death as the result of disobedience, and every one, according to the choice he makes, shall go to his own place, let us flee from death, and make choice of life.’ (The Epistle of Ignatius to the Magnesians, ch.5, long version)

Enoch111, you manufacture your own theology and your own gospel because you think you can choose Jesus despite Lord Jesus saying you cannot choose Jesus.

Let me provide clarification as to why this is the case.

Both the promise of the Holy Spirit and the declaration by Lord Jesus that God chooses people not people choosing God occur in the self-same supper encounter described by the Apostle John in chapters 13 - 17.

LORD JESUS'S PROMISE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FULFILLING

In John chapter 14, John chapter 15, and John chapter 16 Jesus explicitly promises the Holy Spirit. For example, He said "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you." (John 14:16-17).

Among the places that we find fulfillment of the Word of God's promise of the Holy Spirit is when people at Cornelius' place were filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:44).

THE SUPPER IN JOHN CHAPTERS 13 TO 17

Both the promise of the Holy Spirit (John 15:26) as well as God's exclusive role in choosing man (John 15:16) occur in the self-same supper recorded in John chapters 13 - 17.

THE WORD OF GOD IS TRUE

Based on the above stated facts, Lord Jesus was addressing all believers in all time, so just as the promise of the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-15) is binding upon all believers in all time also binding is "you did not choose Me, but I chose you" (John 15:16).

This has already been covered in this thread, please see the first post on this page 51 for reference.

Oh, look, GodsGrace is quoting commentary instead of the Word of God again, but GodsGrace said GodsGrace does not quote commentary a lot.

The Word of God states "you did not choose Me, but I chose you" (John 15:16). Lord Jesus' words matter, and you deny His words, GodsGrace. Lord Jesus said "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day" (John 12:48).

In your post number 1014 on this page 51, you wrote "Not until 1,500 years after Jesus died did the idea come to man that perhaps we do not have free will", which demonstrates your fabricated history. GODSGRACE, YOU TOLD A LIE - YOU BORE FALSE WITNESS - HERE IS TRIPLE PROOF.

First, Lord Jesus taught that man can not choose (free will) God when He said "you did not choose Me, but I chose you" (John 15:16). This is the Word of God, and indisputable.

Second, the Apostle Paul taught that man can not choose (free will) God when he wrote "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, [it is] the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). This is Biblical scripture, and indisputable.

Third, according to historians, in the fifth century (during the 400's), Augustine argued in favor of monergism (God's control) against the heretical teaching of Pelagius who argued in favor of synergism (man's control/man's free will to choose). The records of the Augustine's writings are commentary - because his writings are NOT the Bible - he quotes the Bible - but Augustines's writings are not the Bible.

Your false witness against the Word of God alone is telling of your deception. The third item shows how unstudied about history you are.

THERE IS NO LEVEL THAT A PERSON CAN CHOOSE LORD JESUS BECAUSE HE SAID "YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME, BUT I CHOSE YOU" (JOHN 15:16) - JESUS, BEING GOD, DID NOT PROVIDE ANY EXCEPTION FOR CHOOSING TOWARD JESUS.
