How can a person be a busybody on an OPEN Forum.
You trot out the same old verses ..which are out of context.
So..BTW, this is
not "
your house" ...re your reference to 1 Timothy.
...and also 1 Peter verse ...
Reminder, this forum is
public...
so it cannot be ..
" as a busybody in other men's matters."
Obviously you do NOT read the rest of the Forum , you are too busy posting "Chicken Little , sky falling" posts.
IF you did read the res of the forum you would know what I post.
ref your remark about quote <
Don't you EVER post anything positive because you ALWAYS pop in and out of posts like a cuckoo bird saying something NEGATIVE ..>
Helen, I've tried to overlook your snide comments, but you
repeatedly henpeck and complain when I post something that's not to your liking. If you don't like it then why read it? Simple as that. It's not your job to monitor what anyone posts. I've told you about it several times and you keep doing it
over and over and over.
Dictionary definition of a busybody:
busybody (bĭzˈē-bŏdˌē)
A person who meddles or pries into the affairs of others.
Of course this is a public forum; that's obvious. But you don't have to appoint yourself the overseer of what topics are and aren't allowed to be discussed on here. Maybe you like Joel Osteen and the "happiness" gospel. That's your prerogative. I was misled early on and I think those types of preachers hurt people because it's not true.
2 Timothy 4:3
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”
This has been more my experience:
2 Timothy 3:12
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
We don't want all doom and gloom but Christ was known as "a man of sorrows." If we don't address these topics and we all listen to Helen then we won't alert others to the signs of the times that Christ told us to watch for. I have a family that I have concerns for and I'm concerned about the country they've inherited. My bible study group isn't studying the end times, so here is the place that I can discuss the things I see and find out what other believers are seeing and thinking.
I appreciate when another believer has a warning and perhaps sees something I don't, but not when they continue to point it out
over and over and over. Our words should build one another up; this is something I am learning too. I think you care about people; that's a good thing.
Proverbs 16:24 - Pleasant words [are as] an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Proverbs 12:18 "There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health."
I appreciated your warning the first time; I'm a mature believer - you need to look after your issues instead of pointing out mine.
Matthew 7:5
“Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.”
I'm rushing to finish this since I have to do something else. I wish I had a longer time to say it more carefully.
peace.
