BINGO! Ain't happened yet! But soon.

You don't have a clue what's happening right under you nose. But you will!
You are ignoring the text. So, there is nothing else to talk about. You just want to force your individual eschatology on me. Does not work. It contradicts the New Testament.

I quote YOU. ""This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

Ain't happened yet, but it is right now!

You are quoting it, but you are saying the opposite. You are saying that the generation Jesus was talking to passed away and it was not fulfilled.

Your "soon" is not soon enough. It is 2,000 years late.

You're ignoring YOUR comment, ALL THINGS! It's in process right now. You should read the Bible.

Jesus already was in ISRAEL! The land of the Bible. He said NOTHING! about something happening 2,000 years after his speech. He said "this" generation will not pass!!!

I will try your style of writing, maybe you will understand it easier.

You are using too shallow of an interpretation of "this generation!" (20 some odd years, or thereabouts)
Try using an interpretation using a much longer time line. Such like "generation of flesh man!"
Maybe help you make a little more sense of it?

The word "generation" refers to a group of people born and living around the same time, about 30-40 years, representing the span from parents to their children.

No "more" sense is needed, it is making sense as it is.

The reason why the Disciples/Apostles thought "the end" would come during their lifetime?
Is because they used the same (short-sided) "mindset" you are using!

Now to be certain? Satan KNOWS what his undoing will be, and WHEN it will come!
Do you not think or believe that he will and has, and is STILL trying to "kick this can down the road" as long as he can?

Yeah, some living in 1967 will witness Jesus return!

If you want to say that they were not inspired regarding such important part of eschatology, then there is no point discussing it - they might be simply wrong in any other eschatological claim as well.

They aren't to me!
Whether they are to someone else may well depend on how many, or how strongly one holds to "traditions of "man/men."

1 Peter 2:5 (KJV)
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house [Bethel=House Of God/beth Aven=house of Nothing], an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

This "Holy Priesthood" now? Is this just a "thousand year" Priesthood with Christ during the mellinia? Or even something "shorter termed" like during this "brief pause" in Eternity that is known "generally speaking" as "life on earth?
Or is it and/or does it indicate more then that?
One should (peradventure) take "The Order Of Melchizedek." Was this merely a "decree" from some guy named Melchizedek?
Or was this "fellowship or brotherhood, are gathering" of Priests of "The MOST High God" counseled by Melchizedek to establish (in government) "an/this" forever Priesthood?

Guess it's all up to the reader to interpret it however they may?
Or, allow someone else to tell you how it should be interpreted.
Eh?
I believe the priesthood is now.

Who did the astronomical work to know that 27 exact verses are missing from all of the patristic literature? And are the quotes precise or of what quality? Who was the last "ancient" and why?
I csannot answer all those. I obtained that info from Josh McDowell. I have no reason to doubt his honesty. YOU CAN CONTACT THAT AUTHOR IF YOU ARE THAT INTERESTED.

I agree our ideas about God come from the bible so when a bible is saying things that don't line up with what we know to be true about God's character, then we should be concerned.
If by this you mean the more modern dynamic translations and paraphrases versus the more reliable translations, I agree.

God can be very petty. He punished Job not because he was guilty, but to make him much more mentally stronger than his friends. His friends argue with Job rather than be productive.
You have a very erroneous view of God! He is not petty. You see it that way because you as a finite person are trying to discern the infinite mind of God. Just be3cause it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean it doesn't make eternal sense.

It wasn't to make him mentally but spiritually stronger which has the side effect of strengthening the mind. His friends did a great thing in mourning with him in silence for 7 days. After they made foolish assumptions.
