Hi ziggy-Well the topic of the thread is meant to make people aware of what is going on behind the scenes in our Government.
Although the discussion of what or which denomination is right or wrong is not the core message.
The message is or the question is:
Why is the Pentagon making lists of peoples religious preferences?
That's what I really would like to get to the bottom of.
And I put this thread here so you would all be aware that something don't feel right.
We are in the middle of a war with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
China for the most part is not a friend of Jesus.
The Europeans have gone woke and are being run over by the Islamists.
Christians are being slaughtered in Nigeria.
The world has become a dangerous place for those who profess Jesus as Lord.
So what is our government up to?
Will we be defended or given over to the wolves?
Psyops everywhere, all the time every day. It's getting exhausting.
But we can't just give up our faith and our beliefs.
It's almost as if we are living in Acts 2.0
I refuse to go "underground" and hide my Faith.
The question is:
Will you be willing to fight for it?
I think we're going to find out.
soon,
Hugs
I suppose my privilege is being a United States Citizen who has lived under the protection of our countries laws.Become? Note your privilege. It’s been dangerous to follow Christ in many parts of the world since the beginning. Violent persecution has never stopped.
Not too far distant you will be offered a choice. Keep our commandments and you will eat and have a roof over your head, you will work and be happy. In early Acts eg 2:44-45, Acts 4:32-37 they were ALL together and ALL sold everything.
Why don't ALL believers do that today ?
What do you believe changed between EARLY Acts & today ?
Are you talking 'mark of beast' age where a believer can become unsaved ?Not too far distant you will be offered a choice. Keep our commandments and you will eat and have a roof over your head, you will work and be happy.
Keep God's commandments and we will take everything away from you. Your right to work. To buy or sell. Your right to have a bank account. To own a house. To rent. To worship according to the dictates of your conscience. What price Truth then?
Mmmmm, as if Jefferson, Madison, and their friends whose parents managed to escape the tyrannies of Catholic and Protestant Europe because of the union of church and state there, and were happy and determined to repeat that in the New world.Hi ziggy-
I don't think this is a new thing. It could be a national security reason.- valid? There have been groups naming the name of Christ who were dangerous cults. Koresh comes to mind. There are also several on the list who are anti- government and aren't smart enough to keep their mouths shut about it. God wants us to obey the laws of the land and to be respectful, etc. Mouthing off like that is anti-gov and would be considered as anarchists by the pentagon. All churches are under government tax exempt status. Wars have long been over religious reasons or with religious overtones.
I think there are likely several other reasons. I don't care about that list. Means nothing to me and it's not even right.
Why they didn't list Mormons and it has the Mormon gov officials enraged is odd. Mike Lee was pushing people to read the book of Mormon on that site below where your link took me. Maybe the gov does consider LDS as Mormon. I didn't know there was a difference.
But yeah JWs absolutely do not belong on that list- it's sort of like on this forum. Just say Lord Jesus and you're in.
We all know by now that many will say, Lord- Lord-didn't we this and that- and He will say He never knew them- workers of lawlessness.
There is profession but we also need possession.
Nothing on that list violates the 1st amendment Many Americans do not understand what they call separation of church and state.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
It merely means that we are all free to practice our faith- and Congress can make no law telling us what faith to be.
It also affords the right to assemble peacefully...
What it does not mean is often stated by people who are lifting a sentence by Jefferson out of a letter he wrote while in France- and he was not speaking about any of the things people try to pretend he said.
I have to say, I am one of the fortunate few who actually owns nothing except a used car and 6 cats. Not too far distant you will be offered a choice. Keep our commandments and you will eat and have a roof over your head, you will work and be happy.
Keep God's commandments and we will take everything away from you. Your right to work. To buy or sell. Your right to have a bank account. To own a house. To rent. To worship according to the dictates of your conscience. What price Truth then?
The Pentagon’s press secretary, Sean Parnell, later posted the May 20 memo on X (formerly Twitter) explaining that the changes were “long overdue” and aimed at streamlining data collection for chaplains, not endorsing or legitimizing any faithI ran across a post on X this morning by Senator Mike Lee.
He posted:
As of two days ago, the Pentagon recognizes every Christian faith in America as Christian Except one ...
He then followed up with another post:
I just got off the phone with President Trump We discussed the Pentagon’s “Christian list” I won’t speak for him, but I’m thrilled about where this is heading We’re most fortunate that President Trump (1) loves Latter-day Saints, and (2) is our commander in chief
