Jesus made it clear that his followers were not of this world. They are in it for one purpose and that is to bring others into the kingdom of God aka the Gospel or Good News, and out of this world of darkness)evil), chaos(lawlessness), void(no love for God or man), disease due to sinful lifestyles, poverty due to rejecting to do things God's way as His Son tries to reveal to us, but wanting to be their own god, taking matters in their own hands.

We are no longer citizens of our natural motherland that we were born of sinful flesh.. we are born again from ABOVE, our homeland is of the far country(heavenly Jerusalem our mother-land) and we have been brought together, Jew and Gentile, IN CHRIST to the common wealth of Israel. Jesus died so that the Blessing of Abraham could come unto the Gentiles, WHO CAN BELIEVE that is. All are welcome to receive Christ, yet not all will believe.
Israel is our homeland for that is the garden of God's people. The entire earth is His field, yet only those safely inside the household of God are kept in perfect peace for they are resting in the Lord BY FAITH for their every need. While carnal man (beastly dog eat dog man of the fallen nature) still keep eating of the forbidden tree to be wise in their own eyes and handle things in their own ungodly way. We must be about of Father's business and realize that we are to separate ourselves from the fearful wordly that do not understand of what is coming upon this world BY OUR FATHER'S ALLOWANCE for He wrote the Book as to what He shall bring to pass. We are to understand the mighty works of God that bring men to repentance for their own good. The things that take their eyes off their own petty differences and make them LOOK UP! In prayer to bring them to salvation hopefully before it is too late. It is ashame that WE make God do drastic things to get our attention even to the point of destroying few to show us our sinfulness and NEED FOR HIM in our life... to save many.

Eph 2:10-19
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Isa 13:3-9
3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:
8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
KJV
Heb 11:8-10
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
