That is terrible, unfortunately this is the slippery slope our world is on at the moment, especially the western world.

Yes, it’s a sad indictment on today’s world, where death is preferable to living for so many who are suffering without any real help or solutions, and especially for those in the grip of mental illness now in plague proportions, and manifested in so many ways…..often exacerbated by drugs and alcohol, which are freely available to act as a panacea, rather than a fixing of the root causes of todays problems.

Canada has merely found a way to end the suffering, rather like vets do when an animal needs to be put out of its misery. Tell me what other solutions they can offer? What form of government can rid the world of its current woes? Who can eradicate the pain and suffering? Who can fix all the broken systems of government?

Ask why God is allowing the world to go this far into its death throes, before he finally brings it to an end….?

Suicide is their solution.. They don't know the love of God so they are without hope. This is beyond sad. A telling sign of the times we live in. What a horrifying result of godless parents raising godless children. If it was just easier to convince people of His love.. all we can do is keep spreading the love of the gospel and pray!​

So I won't be committing suicide which sends people straight to hell.

I do not endorse assisted dying for those who find their life not to be worth living…of course it would be preferable to find ways to make life meaningful and enjoyable for them, but it seems the waiting list to be seen by a professional counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist is way longer than a desperate person’s patience will last.

Those who suffer in pain or from illnesses for which there is no cure, for years, and sometimes decades, with no relief in sight, have a right to say “enough”.

There are two kinds of euthanasia…..active and passive….active euthanasia is actively putting someone to death by whatever means they chose……but passive euthanasia simply means withdrawing all forms of life support and allowing nature to take its course. This breaks no law of God or man.

It is the path my husband chose and we fully supported him. There is no cure for what was taking his life and he had lost all useful function…..he made the decision and no one condemned him.

Those who advocate for prolonged suffering have never sat with a dying person and heard their wish for the suffering to end. My dear friend who succumbed to cancer asked me to pray for her death.…even though she was leaving young children to be free of the pain and inability to breathe with her lungs constantly filling with fluid. No one should stand in judgment on their inability to tolerate that “life” anymore.

The world is broken….and people along with it…. only God can fix it.
