Yep have had a click through the results, most of the largest regional seats by landmass in VIC, NSW, QLD and even in SA, went to Liberals, Nationals, Liberal Nationals or Katter in West QLD, and even the Pilbara North Western Australia and Wheatbelt and along the South Coast to SA Border in WA went to Liberals, in Tassie Brandon (NW and Western Tas was won by Libs), Bass also likely to be won by Libs (NE Tassie) and Lyons mainly Central and Eastern Tassie is a tight race with only 800 votes separating Labor's lead on Liberals.
Proof that regional Aussies vote pretty differently to city folks.
When I came to the big city I found that people here were lazy or had jobs were it do not mater to much if they were good or not so much as it was in small towns.
In small towns especially with tradesman who run a business, the bad ones did not last long, but bad tradesman in the big city's are everywhere, shockingly so !
A Builder mate said that he would like to move to were I came from ? and I said You would not last 3 months there mate, you can not get away with the games he played with people in the city at all. but nowadays the bad trades are everywhere.
But as for the Voting being less Socialist in outer city's I think it's more to do with such people know that they have to pull their socks up to survive.
I came from the city and then moved out the sticks when 9yo and first day when you first turn up, you will only get punched first directly but in the city that is a hand shake greeting. It was that way back then, not so much nowadays, the town is a small city now and back in the days everyone knew everyone. so if they did not know you they knew you did not belong. haha, idiots !
