and so since there's so many jews in Israel, why would they outlaw speaking Jesus name?

I thought Jesus is a jew???

that doesn't add up.

They are sick of Christians. That's the bottom line. They are sick and tired of all the proselytizing.

A bill was put forward earlier this year to outlaw Evangelicals from the practice in Israel, which would have made it illegal to try to convert Jews to Christianity. It got shut down, but expressed a growing sentiment.

The bill was introduced in January by a pair of ultra-Orthodox Jewish lawmakers, including Moshe Gafni, who heads the parliament’s Finance Committee. It says soliciting someone to convert their faith should be punishable by one year in prison and solicitation to convert a minor would be punishable with a two-year sentence.

“Recently, the attempts of missionary groups, mainly Christians, to solicit conversion of religion have increased,” it said.

The bill was never advanced, but it drew widespread attention in the American evangelical world this week after All Israel News, an evangelical news site, reported on it.

and what percentage would you surmise make up those categories?

99.9% don't believe Jesus was/is the Messiah

00.1% do

and it's the 99.9% that HATE Jesus so passionately that they wish to outlaw His name from even being spoken in their entire country, right?

but Jesus is a jew, right?

go figure.

In my experience, it’s not difficult for the average person to figure.

Jesus is a Jew. Some Jews love Jesus; most Jews don’t. Simple.

bill introduced by a Florida Democrat who wants to BAN dogs sticking their heads out of windows in moving cars. LOL.
"Most of us smile when we see a dog's face happily hanging out a window, digging the ride and the smells wafting on the breeze, but this is a very risky venture for the dog for three reasons. One, it means your dog isn't properly restrained – and we've already told you why that's so important. Two, your dog is at high risk of eye, ear, face and mouth injury from airborne objects when it's got its face hanging out the window. Three, letting your dog hang any part of its body out of the window increases the risk that (s)he could be thrown out of the vehicle during a collision, lose its balance and fall out of the open window during an abrupt turn or maneuver, or jump out of the vehicle to threaten another dog or a person."

what you're presenting still doesn't add up within the idea of Jesus being Himself a jew.

just because the nation is tired of the evangelical crowds doesn't make sense that they would then outlaw the very speaking of Jesus' name if they believe that He was/is a jew.

the fact is that Jesus is not a jew and the jews know it and wouldn't have Him if He were.

as far as they're concerned, He is the Son of God (and God) and they want nothing to do with that. the vast majority of the current population of the state of Israel is atheist.

Jesus is still not a jew and their move to utterly ban the speaking of His name is just more proof of that fact.

If it becomes law, talking about Jesus in Israel will be punished with imprisonment.
aren't the vast majority of Christian churches in the United States sending hundreds of millions of dollars a year to Israel?

Are they? I don’t know what the vast majority of Christian churches in the United States are doing with their finances.

As Israel increasingly relies on US evangelicals for support, younger ones are walking away: What polls show | Brookings

Why are Christian churches in the US sending untold BILLIONS to Israel when Israel is creating Laws that will not allow the very speaking of Jesus Christ's Name?

Why are we sending untold fortunes to Israel when they HATE Jesus Christ with a burning passion and the vast majority of the state is Atheist?

People like yourself need to answer this question, @Matthias, as you continue to preach jewish monotheism here.

I have no control over, nor do I have any desire to control, where and how Christian churches use their financial resources.

Whether or not Christians send financial aid to Jews or to the modern state of Israel doesn’t detract from the fact that Jesus is a Jew.

Jesus is a Jew
you shall know them by their fruit.

Jesus was not the slightest bit like the pharisees, scribes or sadducees of the Bible and He hated them and made it very clear, in public, many times.

they fully hated Him back because He was NOTHING like them.

let's see if He's anything like them today:

hmm .. nope. they still hate Him so much they won't allow His name to even be spoken.

their fruit is so unlike His that a child could tell you the difference.

you are stuck in a delusion and delusion happens to be a Biblical term so don't anyone go attacking me with nonsense false accusations.

you have been given strong delusion by God Almighty due to your lack of love for the Truth.

His contemporary disciples were also Jews. All of them.

Imprisonment is not a fitting punishment.

The Bible proscribes the fitting punishment:

"And when your brother or son or daughter, or even your dear wife or lifelong friend, comes to you in secret and whispers, “Let’s go and worship some other gods” (gods that you know nothing about, neither you nor your ancestors, the gods of the peoples around you near and far, from one end of the Earth to the other), don’t go along with him; shut your ears. Don’t feel sorry for him and don’t make excuses for him. Kill him. That’s right, kill him. You throw the first stone. Take action at once and swiftly with everybody in the community getting in on it at the end. Stone him with stones so that he dies. He tried to turn you traitor against GOD, your God, the one who got you out of Egypt and the world of slavery. Every man, woman, and child in Israel will hear what’s been done and be in awe. No one will dare to do an evil thing like this again."

Jews hate idolatry. Worshiping anybody or anything besides the one and only true God Y-H-W-H is idol worship, which is a sin that carries upon it the death penalty.

And this is why the name of JC cannot be spoken in Israel: "Take heed to all that I have said to you; and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let such be heard out of your mouth."
Ex 23:13

Are you stoning those Christians living in Israel who believe Jesus is himself God? If not, why not? Are you more afraid of the secular / religious authorities than you are of God?

What about those Christians living in Israel who believe Jesus himself is (only) the Messiah? Are you stoning them too?

Jesus himself is a Jew whose God is the God of Abraham. Can his name be spoken in Israel with that premise?
