What are some books you loved growing up?

I liked a lot of fantasy books like the Narnia series by C.S Lewis, The Golden Compass Trilogy by Philip Pullman, The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud (I may be getting that last name wrong) and Tamora Pierce's Magic Circle series.

The Babar and Winnie-the-Pooh books

We also Loved reading to our children and grandchildren. They (and we) enjoyed authors like Beatrix Potter, Dr. Seuss, Richard Scary, Beverly Cleary, Tolkien. The best Children’s books reinforce parental instruction in Love Your Neighbor.

my Grandmother used to always give books as presents and I got books as prizes for Sunday school attendance and I spent hours in the library choosing books. I have always been an avid reader. According to my Amazon Fire I have read 177 books this year.

Some of my favourites were the Adventure series by Enid Blyton; the What Katy Did books and the Little Women series. I also like stories set in boarding schools and the Noel Streatfield books about ballet etc.. From the library I used to get books about the lives of famous composers and there were always some music in those which I liked to play.

Is it weird to still be reading children's books?

I liked reading Dr. Sesuss as a kid. I liked the Lorax. Something about the Lorax story made me think.

I also read the Bernstein Bears as a kid. Yes, it was called stein and not stain.
